A little bit about me
I’ve been working in care for 30 years, initially within learning disabilities whilst living in Yorkshire, on moving back to Suffolk I worked for the NHS for their learning disability service in Walker Close in Ipswich.
I moved to Bury St Edmunds & worked for a supported living scheme where I achieved my NVQ level 2 in health & social care. Following on from there I worked at a learning disability respite unit where I achieved my NVQ level 3 in health & social care.
I have worked in domiciliary care & most recently for an enabling service for the local authority.
Every week I take my dog to visit a lady, who sadly lost her dog & became extremely depressed. we have been going every Wednesday, for 3 years now. The lady really looks forward to her visits & likewise, my dog looks forward to visiting her.
