Today something really cool happened.
I had my photo taken for a portrait by as part of the Facing The Future exhibition (Kylie was busy)

Paul and are painting 8 sitters each who all have lived experience of breast cancer. Doctors, thrivers, children, partners, those who’ve lost someone, with accompanying stories and audio. is the driving force behind the exhibition which has so far raised over £80k for

It’s on for 2 weeks at the in London from 3rd October

Come and see it!

And I had to include this pic of an old blue police phone box. It’s amazing what you see in London when you walk instead of tube.

Who’s your rock?
The person who gets you through the tough times and celebrates the great times?

Let’s share the love and celebrate the amazing people in our lives!

This was me ten years ago
Ready to have chemotherapy for a Stage 3 breast cancer
I had no idea just how much my life was about to change

I can barely remember who that woman was or what she wanted in life

Cancer stole her from me

But she gave me something new
She gave me the meaning of life
What did she give you?

Read my article in today’s

It’s why Paloma Shemirani died from a heart attack at the age of 23 because she was told to juice instead of having chemo

I want to find out more about these charlatans

One year ago today my Dad was found face down on his kitchen floor by my cleaner.
He’d been dead for a while.

I was away on holiday.
I hadn’t heard from him in over 24 hours
He wasn’t answering his phone
I had this horrid feeling in my gut.

I was right.
I don’t know how long he’d been lying there
Whether it was quick or not

By the time I got home all that was left was a blood-stained smear on the floor

It was like it hadn’t happened.

So very different to Mum.

Life is short.
Tell the people you love that you love them.

I was lucky that my last words to him were wishing him a Happy Father’s Day and telling him I loved him.

His heart was broken when Mum died and know they’re together again

But I still feel lost without him.

Treasure those you love the most.

And for anyone struggling - like me today trying to put mascara on before I talk at the conference, please head to the

They have great resources on their website to help.

Alcohol increases your risk of breast cancer
The actual increase is small
The more you drink, the greater the risk
This increases as we get older

Drinking doesn’t mean you WILL get cancer
If you drank and got breast cancer it MAY have been one of the risk factors - we have no way of knowing.
Many teetotallers get breast cancer and many heavy drinkers don’t.

This is not about blaming anyone for their past behaviour as a reason for getting cancer. I certainly don’t blame myself.

This is about educating healthy women about the risks.
If they want to lower their risk of getting breast cancer, they can cut back on alcohol, exercise and try to maintain a healthy weight.
They can do all of this and still get breast cancer as we still don’t know the exact reasons why it happens.

We all know alcohol isn’t great for us.
Anything that can give you a hangover can’t be good.
It is a carcinogen.
It directly increases the risk of 7 cancers.
It damages your DNA, its metabolised to fat which increases chronic inflammation and it increases the amount of oestrogen you produce.

The facts are there. It’s up to you what you do with them.

Do we really need alcohol to celebrate, dance and flirt? Really…?

What are your thoughts? (Please be kind. I want my channel to be a safe space 💛)

This was mum on her birthday in 2022
I’d make her a cake and got her a balloon and a rosette
She said that no-one had ever thrown her a birthday party before - and yes that killed me

Three days later she opened a cafe door and broke her right arm
She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma that had spread to her hip bone and her lungs
She had her arm amputated and started palliative chemo
She died less than six months after her diagnosis
Dad died two years later. He hung on for as long as he could.

I still can’t remember her before she got cancer
Grief hurts
Therapy helps.

I’m an ambassador for who have helped me along the way

I’m a patron for as rare cancers need more

I’m currently on a train to Cardiff for BUT if anyone reading this is struggling to come to terms with loss, I will light a candle for you when I get home

Cancer patients are dying because they don’t believe their doctors
Online information is leading people to an early, unnecessary death

I had no idea how bad the space was until I became a patient myself

What can we do to educate vulnerable, scared people who are desperate for a miracle cure?

It’s why I wrote The Cancer Roadmap
I get so many messages every day that I knew I had to reach out to as many people as I could

It shows you the red flags to spot cancer BS
It tells you what real risk is
And it debunks many of the cancer cure diets, like juicing and Keto, before giving you sensible, evidence-based guidelines about what can reduce the risk of recurrence

Huge thank you to
Mum and Dad are reunited again
The incredible Wendy turned their favourite jumpers into memory bears
My heart is slowly healing
I may never get over their loss
But seeing the bears together brings me peace

If you’ve lost someone close to you, I can’t recommend enough

Knowing your breast density can help you understand your breast cancer risk
Comment DENSITY to watch my YouTube video that explains everything

You can’t change it, but it might persuade you to take action to lower your risk in other ways, like regular exercise and cutting back on alcohol

You should be told what it is when you have a mammogram

If you’ve read ‘The Cancer Roadmap’ and liked it -
🙏Please can you leave an Amazon review
(You don’t have to buy it on Amazon to leave one)

I never left reviews until I became an author and I learned just how important they are

You all know me, but most of the people on Amazon don’t.
They rely on 5* reviews to persuade them to buy a book from an author they don’t know
The more reviews there are, the more likely Amazon is to recommend my book to people looking for cancer information

I know it can be a pain in the arse to go to Amazon and scroll down to find the ‘leave a review’ bit and actually leave a review, but it does make a world of difference.

And of course a huge thank you to all of you who have left a review - you’re my favourites 💛💛💛
