Sakoon Mind is a Mental Health and Wellness charity that specializes in the South Asian community but people from all cultures and faiths are more than welcome. Our vision at Sakoon Mind is to help and educate people about different types of Mental Health. We want to teach that when Mental Health starts to affect you emotionally, psychologically and socially what tools and techniques are available out there that can help you change your day to day living and live a more fulfilling life. We will be bringing in professionals from the mental health and wellness side of things, who will come and teach physical, intellectual, emotional, spiritual, social, vocational, financial and environmental to help better their lives.

Today… I Pause.
I loosen my grip on the noise.
I soften the weight on my shoulders.
Today I bow to my own peace.
I honour the quiet calling me home.
No chasing.
No proving.
No becoming.
Just being.
I pour warmth into my own cup
coffee rising like morning mist,
thoughts drifting slowly,
unrushed… untouched… unbothered.
Today is a sacred exhale.
A return to self.
A gentle reminder that I too,
deserve the softness I give to the world.
Today, I choose calm.

Gratitude for walking with us 💜

This morning we had the honour of presenting our journey at the Community Mental Health and Wellbeing gathering.
The feedback we received was more than kind words it was confirmation

Confirmation that we are walking on purpose. Confirmation that sharing lived experience matters. Confirmation that change is happening.
Every story shared.
Every Tool & Technique passed on.
Every heart that felt seen.
This is why we do what we do.
We are not just hosting workshops.
We are breaking stigma.
We are creating safe spaces.
We are building community.
And today reminded us the work is needed, the work is valued, and the work is creating impact.

Take 10 minutes with your favourite tea or coffee and a biscuit you love.
Allow yourself to truly feel that relaxed calm moment.
A warm cup clear focus a gentle pause a quick recharge filled with self-love.

Here’s a Monday mantra to carry into our busy lives:
Just for today I am patient and calm.
Just for today I am kind and I shower kindness to all around me
Just for today I am grateful for another day.

Simple words techniques can really effect our thoughts our way of working with daily life creating a calmer enviroment in workplace, at home, with our children💜it lets us take on tasks with Eternal optimism.

Self love is how you speak to yourself.
Self care is how you treat yourself.

Self love says.
I am worthy.
I deserve peace.
I forgive myself.
I am enough as I am.

Self care looks like
Resting without guilt
Setting boundaries
Saying no when you need to
Eating sleeping moving your body with respect
Taking quiet time to reset your mind

Self love is internal.
Self care is intentional.

You cannot pour from an empty cup.
When your cup is full you give from overflow not exhaustion💜
