At the kind invitation of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service. We had the pleasure of joining the Coast Guard, RNLI, SAS and Police Scotland in attending the Inverness community Fire Station open day.

A great afternoon put on by SFRS with lots of Demonstrations and family fun.

It was fantastic to see so many people from the community coming out to support the Fire Station and to raise much needed funds for, Cash for kids and The Fire service charity.

We would like to give a shout out to James Support Group.

We had the opportunity to meet with Patrick Mullery today to discuss our shared vision on what matters most to those we support.

H-SAS Continue to build alliances and partnerships with other groups and organisations to better improve the services relating mental health.

Our aim…….

To put those who need the support and services at the very forefront.
One size will not fit all, the only way to find the right fit is to work together to build a better future!!!

Here’s to making waves and improving services!!!

At Inspiring Young Voices, we are running a project that focuses on young people’s views of mental health services and resources within the Scottish Highland Council region.

This survey aims to find out from young people aged 18-26 what mental health services and resources they are aware of, can access, are missing, or would like to see introduced in Highland.

The survey is anonymous, and we will share the results with NHS Highland and other interested organisations that we work with. We hope that this will influence their decision-making about future mental health resource provision in Highland.

Please share this with anyone you think would be interested in participating, and feel free to contact Hannah by email at policy@inspiringyoungvoices.org or text at 07510890219 to learn more.

You can complete the survey here

Our team are currently looking for new volunteers to increase our capacity across Northern Scotland.

If you are looking to develop new skills, meet like minded people and help others whilst enjoying local events and being part of a great team then we could be what you are looking for!

We provide event medical services and incident support with a team of highly trained (and externally certified) responders who deliver a high level of service whatever we are involved in.

Currently we are looking to increase our capacity in:

Comms support - Volunteers capable of providing communications support to the team and other agencies through utilisation of our radio and communications systems. Full training will be provided which will include deployment, radio communications and digital systems use.

Event Team volunteers - Much of what we do is through delivery of first aid or first responder services at event. We provide certified training for volunteers and development training to ensure your skills are up to date and you not just qualified but competent to be there to help others when they need it most.

Volunteering can be fun, sociable and rewarding. All equipment is provided and expenses are paid to ensure there is no financial barrier from volunteering.

Please get in touch either here or through our website www.merthighland.com to let us know if you fancy joining the team.

A truly inspiring networking lunch with an amazing group of likeminded women.
Highland Business Women are a networking and support organisation for business women throughout the Highlands. Their monthly events give opportunity to share and develop your business.
Today’s meeting gave us the chance to hear from past award winners in their experiences of the process and the benefits of being part of the awards.
We also had the chance to support the chosen charity of the year Highland Action For Little Ones - Halo.
H-SAS are looking forward to the partnerships and opportunities that will come of our new connections.
