If you need support, that’s enough.

Support doesn’t have a set of criteria, and you can’t tell who needs support just by looking at them. It’s for anyone who wants to feel safer, steadier, more independent, or more like themselves again.

In Somerset, we offer care at home, Live In Care, and enabling packages shaped around your goals — built with you, not for you.

Whether it’s confidence, routine, community, or work — including support into or within employment, we’ll help you move towards the life you want, with support that adapts as you do.

Dying Matters Awareness Week encourages us to talk openly about death, dying, and the people affected.

At the end of life, care isn’t only about supporting the individual, it’s also about supporting the family around them. From emotional reassurance and clear communication to practical day-to-day support, good care helps families feel less alone at an incredibly difficult time.
Talking about dying can be hard, but compassionate care and honest conversations can make a real difference — for everyone involved.

💬 This Dying Matters Week, let’s recognise the role care plays in supporting families, not just individuals.

Companionship can be exactly what your loved one needs.

For some, it’s a gentle first step into support—a slow, comfortable introduction to care at home. For others, it’s all that’s needed.

Isolation can affect every part of our lives. It can lower confidence, impact wellbeing, and over time, even affect physical health—especially for those living with long-term conditions.
A friendly face, a chat, or simply sharing time together can make a real difference.

Call 01458 746747 for a friendly chat and find out how we can help.

MS Awareness | Supporting fluctuating, complex conditions

Multiple Sclerosis is a condition that can change from day to day. Symptoms such as fatigue, mobility issues, pain, or cognitive changes don’t follow a predictable pattern — and support needs shouldn’t be fixed either.

That’s why our approach to care focuses on the individual, not a standard rollout.
🔹 Care adapts to daily changes in symptoms and energy
🔹 Support flexes around fatigue, mobility, and personal routines
🔹 Trained carers respond to change and update care plans so support remains aligned
🔹 Reviews reflect real life as it is — not how it “should” be on paper
🔹 Independence is encouraged, with reassurance and support built in

During MS Awareness, we’re recognising the importance of flexible, responsive care for people living with fluctuating and complex conditions — support that evolves as needs change.

Sometimes it’s not the big things, it’s the moments that get missed.
When was the last time someone sat and talked with them other than you?
When was the last time they felt listened to by people in their community?

We’re here to bring connection back into their day, so you don’t have to hold it all.
Over time, small moments can disappear, and with them, confidence and well-being can begin to fade.
Companionship brings those moments back, through regular visits, friendly chats, and time spent together.

Call 01458 746747 for a friendly, no-pressure chat about how we can help.

Today is Parkinson’s Day 2026.

Last year, more than 180 landmarks across the UK and beyond lit up blue, standing in solidarity with everyone affected by Parkinson’s. This simple act of illumination reminds us how powerful visibility can be.

Why awareness still matters:
• Parkinson’s is the fastest-growing neurological condition in the world, yet many people still misunderstand what living with it actually means.
• Better awareness leads to earlier recognition, more support, and a stronger voice for those navigating daily symptoms that often go unseen.

A lesser-known fact:
Parkinson’s doesn’t only affect movement — up to 50% of people experience cognitive changes, like slowed thinking or difficulty concentrating, long before motor symptoms become obvious. These impacts are just as real, yet far less recognised.

At Beehive Care & Training Group, we’re proud to stand with the Parkinson’s community today and every day — supporting independence, dignity, and the right to live well at home.

If you or a loved one needs support, our friendly Beehive teams in Devon and Somerset are here to help.

🌼 Why Homecare Matters in Somerset

Home isn’t just a place — it’s routine, comfort, community, and connection.
Our Why Homecare? infographic highlights how the right support at home can make all the difference:

🏡 Stay Independent for Longer
Homecare supports people to continue living life their way — keeping daily choices, confidence, and independence intact.
🤝 Stay Connected to Your Community
Familiar surroundings, familiar faces, and the ability to stay part of local life all contribute to wellbeing.
❤️ Keep Couples Together
With flexible at-home support, partners can remain living side by side — not separated due to differing care needs.

🌟 It Isn’t “All or Nothing”
You don’t have to struggle alone.
And you don’t have to move into a care home before you’re ready.

Homecare offers the best of both — support where you need it, independence where you want it.
If someone you know could benefit from gentle, reliable support at home, we’re here to help.
