Prime Care. is a local, family run care agency and has been providing domiciliary care in the Salisbury and Amesbury areas since 1994. They have been an approved provider for Wiltshire Council for 20 years and we are a sub-contractor for Wiltshire Councils ‘Help to Live at Home’ scheme, a flagship Social Care service. The agency provides all aspects of personal care to vulnerable adults as well as preparing meals, shopping, and other light domestic tasks. Care Manager, Ann Scott said ‘‘Everyone at Prime Care believes that, wherever possible, people should be able to continue living at home in their own familiar surroundings. Our aim is to provide a real alternative to residential or hospital care. We work closely with family members, social workers, doctors and other health professionals in order to provide a personalised service, tailor made to the individuals needs. All our staff are local, experienced and highly trained and we pride ourselves on the quality of care delivered’’
We can also assist with and advise on applying for Direct Payments from Wiltshire Council. Direct Payments allow clients to have the cost of their care, if they are funded by the council, paid directly into their bank accounts. They can then choose which agency they would like to provide their care instead of having to use one the council chooses. When choosing an agency, you should consider the following:

• Is it local and do staff know the area well?
• Are the staff highly-trained?
•Are they reliable, experienced and dedicated?
•Are they flexible and reasonably priced?
•Is the management team friendly and always on hand? With Prime Care, you can be confident of all of the above.
