Hull York Medical School Awards

We are delighted to let you know we have received the following nominations for the WHOLE PRACTICE TEAM by the medical students that we have from HYMS Medical School:

Administrative Excellence Award
Primary Care Teaching Award

Dr Wildgoose and Chloe Constantinou (Physicians Associate) have also both been nominated in two categories (Primary Care Teaching Award and PA Teaching Award).

Dr Dan James (one of our GP Registrars) has also been nominated for an Award in Secondary Care Teaching.

The awards take place next Thursday- good luck to everyone!

Please note- the dispensary will still close at 6pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

Job Title: Cleaner
Location: Snaith Surgery (will need to cover cleaner holidays at Rawcliffe surgery also)
We are looking for a conscientious cleaner to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the GP surgery.

Key Responsibilities:
Regular cleaning and disinfection of waiting areas, consulting rooms, reception, and restrooms.
Vacuuming, mopping, and dusting all floors and surfaces.
Replenishing and restocking toiletries and cleaning supplies.
Adhering to strict infection control protocols and health and safety standards.

Requirements/Skills:
Experience in domestic cleaning, preferably in a healthcare setting (though not always essential).
A diligent and hardworking approach.
High attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
Reliability, honesty, and trustworthiness.
Good communication skills.

Working Hours: 10 hours per week (Monday to Friday 17.30-19.30)
Salary: Competitive hourly rate; NHS Pension offered

Today we say goodbye to Dr Obi. Dr Obi was a trainee with us, and for the last 6 months he has worked at the Practice as a salaried GP.
He is now off to work as a GP in Hull- we wish him well!

Please be aware that due to an accident, the M62 is closed at Whitley which means that traffic is gridlocked in and around Snaith.
There are also 4 way traffic lights in East Cowick which is having a knock-on effect.
Please give yourself extra time to arrive for your appointments this morning.
