I’ve been in sport since the age of 11 when I started as a sprinter🏃🏻‍♀️, fast forward 6 years and I stopped training after a string of injuries and falling out of love with the sport🥲
I then picked up coaching & officiating to keep me in the community which led to me coaching various sports during my time at university.

Since then I’ve qualified as an Athletic Development Coach and Sport Rehabilitator, working within community & semi professional rugby and cricket and individual athletes of many sports🏉🏏
I LOVE it! 🤩

It’s motivating, exciting, challenging, rewarding, and I’ve been grateful to have worked within some special teams amongst some great like-minded practitioners🙌🏻

The days can be long, the comms are endless and the travelling can be tough.. but the reward is so so worth it.🤟🏼

Interested in working in sport? 🤔
1. Get experience in a variety of sports - meet new people, visit new places, learn new sports & figure out what you like and don’t like!
2. Be confident in yourself & stick to principles - it can be high pressure and you have to adapt quickly, but if it helps always go back to principles.
3. Always have food & water prepared, don’t leave yourself short of fuel when you’re in charge of others!
4. Keep your mind open - some of my best experiences have come from stepping outside of my comfort zone & saying yes to something that slightly scared me!
5. Have fun!! Make the most of it🤩

🏋🏻‍♀️🚴🏻‍♀️👟What does my training week look like as a GSR x ADC?

My main goals at the moment are to increase my full body strength, improve my aerobic fitness & to keep knee niggles at bay! And this is how i’m training for that….

🏋🏻‍♀️4 strength sessions per week. 2 uppers, 2 lowers. Combining weight-bearing & heavy loading through each movement pattern both bilaterally and unilaterally.

🚴🏻‍♀️2 off-feet conditioning sessions. 1 interval, 1 continuous. Focusing on working within zone 3 to help build my aerobic capacity. Off-feet following a knee flare up after initiating running again.

⚖️Plyos, proprioception & isometric-based prehab 2x/week to help support lower limb function & control, and keep my knee happy!

👟At least 8k steps a day. Including an ‘intentional’ walk, a.k.a getting outside & walking steady state for at least 20 mins - luckily easy to do with my pup!

💤1 full rest day (well, aside from my steps!) to support recovery.

Over time i’ll delve deeper into each session & why I focus on what I do! And get more confident with filming myself…🫣Anyways, in the meantime thanks for watching🤍

Hi👋 I’m Jaz, a 24-year-old (recent) Graduate Sport Rehabilitator and Athletic Development Coach based in South Wales/West!

I started my Instagram page several months ago but wanted to share my profile & business here too, so here’s a bit about me!

👩🏻‍🎓I recently completed my studies in MSc Sport Rehabilitation, finishing with a Distinction, and I have since become a chartered Graduate Sport Rehabilitator!

🔎I am currently not practicing in my role as a GSR but I am on the look out for an ideal role. However, I am currently mentoring students in the MSc programme which is great to be part of!

🏋🏻‍♀️Since last week, I have been leading Physical Performance / S&C at Bath Rugby Women’s 7s. I started a medical placement last year and have since been promoted to this role, following my years experience as an Athletic Development Coach at the Southern Academy of Sport. I love it! The group of players & staff are amazing, creating a fun yet challenging environment to work in. My role at Bath & SAS saw me jet off to Dubai 7s with the team - which was an experience of a lifetime, and one I am truly grateful for!

📈My long-term goal is to start my own business, encompassing my two passions - injury rehab and S&C. And those two worlds are not as separate as you may think.

🏉Alongside this, I volunteer medic at my local rugby club as well as support my local athletics club with social media and officiating.

I hope to use this page to share my journey, to educate & provide insight, and to promote my services and business.

For now, thanks for reading & please follow along if you’d like to see all things rehab, movement, rugby & more!

The support means the world🤍
