Feeling like you’re running on empty? Let’s find your footing.
I’m Rebecca, a counsellor and supervisor based in Callington, Cornwall. I bring a warm, down-to-earth approach to help you untangle whatever’s weighing you down. No fluff—just real, professional support tailored to you.
Counselling isn’t about quick fixes or forced smiles. It’s a quiet space to breathe, to figure out why you feel stuck, and to piece together a stronger sense of yourself. If low self-esteem has you second-guessing your every move, I’ll listen—really listen—and work with you to make the changes you want.
What does counselling do? It strips back the noise, cuts through the doubt, and helps you stand taller in your own story.
For an initial no obligation chat and to find out more contact me at Rebecca@ricounselling.co.uk to book an appointment. I’m here when you’re ready.

January Is Ending—Check In With Yourself

As January has come to a close, take a moment to pause and reflect. The start of the year can bring a mix of emotions—hope, pressure, motivation, or even exhaustion. If you’re feeling drained or discouraged, remember that progress isn’t measured by how perfect your January was. Every day is a new opportunity to care for your mental well-being.

If you’ve been hard on yourself, practice some self-compassion. If you’ve set big goals, break them down into small, manageable steps. And if you’re struggling, reach out—support is always available.

Your mental health matters every month of the year. Let’s move into February with kindness, patience, and a reminder that you’re doing the best you can.

Post:

The holiday season is often painted as a time of joy, family, and celebration—but for many of us, it can be one of the hardest times of the year.

If you’re struggling with your mental health this Christmas, please know you’re not alone. The pressure to be “merry and bright” can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re navigating feelings of loneliness, grief, or anxiety. It’s okay if your reality doesn’t match the picture-perfect holiday scenes we see everywhere.

Take it one day at a time. Set boundaries. Prioritize rest and things that nourish your mind and soul. And if you need extra support, reach out—to a friend, a loved one, or a professional.

It’s okay to not feel okay. Your feelings are valid, and you are deserving of care, love, and patience this season and every day.

For anyone finding it hard this Christmas, I’m thinking of you. Let’s hold space for each other. 💙

🎃 Happy Halloween, everyone! 🎃

While tonight is all about spooky fun, costumes, and candy, it’s also a reminder of the masks we sometimes wear in our daily lives. For many, mental health struggles can feel like a hidden ghost, invisible to others but always present.

This Halloween, let’s take a moment to check in on ourselves and those around us. Just as we enjoy treating others to sweets, let’s be kind and supportive—often, a small gesture or a listening ear can make a world of difference.

If you or someone you know is battling inner “monsters,” remember: you’re not alone. Reaching out for support is a strength, not a weakness. Let’s work together to make the world a little less scary for everyone, one step at a time.

Take care, be safe, and enjoy the Halloween festivities! 👻💙
