I’m back!

This week I’ve been pretty awol! We lost our family dog Martha. It has been utterly devastating.

I called this community “From The Heart” for very good reason. I feel things deeply, I care for others passionately and I also therefore feel loss very deeply.

I needed to take a step back last week and let emotions pass through me. Through my quest for self-discovery I have learned that bottling things up is a really silly thing to do. So I let myself grieve, let my children grieve.

NEW CLASS UPDATE🌙✨

From the 18th of may I am teaching classes in-person from Calstock field. I have permission to teach there until indoor classes are able to be taught in larger groups than 6.

My classes will be:

Tuesdays at 10 am - beginners vinyasa flow.

Tuesdays 6.30 pm - legs, bums and tums with a yoga flare.

£5.00 per class message me to be added to my class list. I can only have 30 per class and the WhatsApp group is already looking healthy. 🖤🌙

Do you find you get overwhelmed with life?

I used to think I could juggle everything. Went onto autopilot and got on with it until my stress levels had risen so much that I was either unwell. My eczema flared up, I got migraines and was really, really anxious.

I now learn the importance of forcing rest. Forcing complete unwinding of your body and mind. It has been the most dramatic transformation for me.

I need my classes as much as my clients do. They fill up my metaphorical cup and keep me from overwhelm. I now learn I am not invincible...

I wanted to take a minute to explain why I choose colours which are unusual for ‘ pages.’

When I look at other Instagram yoga pages they’re generally light and natural. This doesn’t work for me. I have two very distinctive sides to me. I have a side which is dark and unable to see the good in myself and what I do. Then I have the light, nurturing side who believes in myself.

These sides are reflected in my logo and my branding. The yang side of me is creative, full of energy and very much my alter ego. This side is extroverted and requires a huge physical effort to project into the world. This is the person people see whilst I’m in the salon whilst in my yang job. This side is depicted with a darker side - it is a very important part of me but not the whole me.

The other side of me is a side I have recently discovered. She is calm, she is lighter, more nurturing and able to tap into more intuition. This is the side of me that had unlocked skills that make me able to deal with stress and anxiety. This side is introverted and much more resilient and calm. It takes minimal effort to be in my yin self. It is part of my whole self.

My business reflects the two sides we all have within us and the sides I believe need to be discovered in order to live a happy and balanced lifestyle. My logo reflects the journey and is even more important to me now than ever. It embodies everything I am...

Every week I spend time thinking through my weekly schedule and work out when I will fit in all of my goals and plans.

I ensure I have time for fitness, my work, time with my family, time to be calm and relaxed, enough sleep, time to eat correctly.

It’s all about the planning. What are your priorities this week?
