💗The window was left open for Cupid on the 14th here! 💗
I love spending Valentines day with the kids, the excitement is up there with Easter and the husband has always made sure that all the other lovies have a fabulous meal to give. 2021 is up there with with the busiest Valentines ever!👨🍳🍽️
Giving gifts and your time is a wonderful thing to do. Yet, more than that, a generous spirit is good for the soul. Generosity lifts your spirit, your mind and your relationships. It forges bonds and improves connections. 💑👩❤️👩👨❤️👨
Just don’t give it over kill! it’s the small gesture that counts. 🍭🍭🍭
A boost of endorphins.
If you’ve ever seen someone’s face light up after opening a gift you gave, you know the joy of meaningful gifts. Those endorphins mimic the feelings we experience when we’re falling in love, snuggling a new-born or celebrating the completion of a tough workout. 🤩💜🤩
Reduced stress and anxiety.
There is a strong and undeniable connection between physical and mental well-being. As such, when you give to someone else and it lifts your mood, this can lower stress. You’re happier, calmer and, by extension, less stressed or anxious. 😊💜😊
Lower blood pressure.
Research shows there’s also a link between generosity and lowered blood pressure? It only makes sense. By supporting others, a person often gains more self-esteem and social support — leading to a lower, healthier blood pressure. 😘💗😘
Stronger connections.
You feel closer to someone when giving him or her a gift. Likewise, the recipient feels more linked to you. When you want to enjoy the emotional benefits of strong connections and friendships, try giving someone a present. 👩👩👧👨👦👦👩👧👨👧
