Food isn’t supposed to feel this hard!

If you’ve been stuck in the binge–restrict cycle, constantly thinking about food, or feeling out of control around eating… it’s not because you’re broken ❌

Most of us were taught to use food as a weight-loss tool instead of what it really is — nourishment, energy, and information for your body. And when you fight your biology, it fights back!

That’s what my coaching is all about: learning how your body actually works so you can stop fighting food and start feeling calm around it 🥰

Welcome to Food Freedom with Bekka — where we use science, not shame, to rebuild trust with your body. 💛

If the only thing your diet or coaching gives you is weight loss, you’ll be scared to ever stop.
Because when the plan ends, the results usually do too.

But when your coaching gives you more than a smaller body —
less bloating, more energy, workouts you actually enjoy, meals you look forward to —
you’re not afraid to leave.

You don’t need someone watching over you to keep going.
You keep the habits because they make your life better.

The best kind of coaching isn’t the kind you cling to…
it’s the kind that leaves you confident you’ll be just fine on your own 💛

Let’s talk liquid calories… ☕️

There was a time when I was at my lowest weight and liquid calories didn’t scare me at all.

Cocktails on nights out? No problem.
Lattes? Sure.
Hot chocolates? Why not.

But I’d stress over the cheesy chips or garlic bread that came after. I’d mentally budget for them, worry about them, try to “earn” them.

Then somewhere along the way, things flipped.
I started obsessing over drinks instead.

Water only.
No lattes.
No hot chocolates.
No “wasted” calories.

I’d sit there miserable, drinking a hot chocolate my mum had made me — even though it was my favourite — because I knew it meant I had to eat less later. Food and drinks became maths instead of joy.

But things got better.
I learnt how to balance food, not fear it.

And now, 5 years later, this is what it looks like:

Hot chocolates on cold beach walks.
Coffees out with my mum.
A drink to celebrate without guilt.

Food and drinks that add to my life instead of shrinking it.

Calories were never the problem — the fear was.
And I’m so glad I don’t live there anymore 🤍

A little dump from the first half of the month 🥰

Very wedding heavy at the minute with decoration planning, cake designing and hair and makeup trials 😃

But also focusing on making time for me - getting my runs in, tidying the house, eating nutritiously and prioritising my water in take

It’s going to be such an exciting year 🥳

A lot of what we do around food isn’t about hunger — it’s habit.

Eating because it’s “time”.
Snacking because it’s automatic.
Finishing because that’s what we’ve always done.

So today, pause and gently ask yourself:

Am I doing this because my body needs it — or because it’s familiar and automatic?

This isn’t about judging yourself or trying to “fix” your habits.
It’s about building awareness around them and understanding where they came from.

Because awareness, not willpower, is where real change starts.
And you don’t need to overhaul everything to begin responding to your needs instead of running on autopilot.

One moment of noticing is enough to start choosing yourself 🤍

Binge eating and overeating aren’t the same — and treating them like they are keeps so many people stuck.

A binge isn’t about lack of willpower or “trying harder.”

It often feels out of control, automatic, almost subconscious.
It can be any food, eaten quickly, and it’s only once it’s over that the guilt, shame and hiding start to kick in.

Overeating is different.

You’re more present. You’re still aware of what you’re doing, and even though guilt might show up afterwards, there is still some level of choice — you could stop if you really wanted to.

Both experiences deserve compassion, not judgement.

But understanding the difference matters, because they need different support.

If this resonates with you, you’re not broken — and you’re not alone.

Christmas is over, you’ve binged on all your chocolate to get it out of the house ready for a fresh start in January…

But then…

You go to get fuel and your fiance comes back out of the shop with these chocolates for you

You want to be happy. To be grateful. It’s a lovely gift.

But you just can’t..

You feel the anxiety creeping in. The food noise gets louder. The feeling of losing control kicks in.

You go home and put them in the fridge and tell yourself to forget about them

But it’s ALL you can think about - so eventually, you open one.
You have a square and put it back.

You try to distract yourself but the noise gets louder and the guilt gets heavy. So you go back and eat more, and more, until you’ve eaten the whole lot

Then the guilt and shame gets more intense, you tell yourself you’re fat and that you’re never going to be pretty and fit like everyone else. That you’re not normal and you just can’t be around chocolate.

The thoughtful little gift of chocolate - that makes you hate yourself

⬆️⬆️⬆️
That was me 5 years ago.

Yesterday Kyran brought me these chocolate bars and I didn’t feel a single bit of guilt. No food noise.

We went home and they went in the fridge.
We’ve opened one, shared it, eaten rationally.
No guilt. No shame.

Just joy ❤️

It DOES get better.
You CAN keep these foods in your house.
The noise WILL stop.

Don’t give up on yourself, you’re worth more than that ❤️

If this message resonates, reach out, I’m here to help take that noise and guilt away from your food so you can find your freedom like I did ❤️

Christmas is over… but that doesn’t mean you need to rush back into a diet or some HUGE change in your life!

For me, I’m getting married in 11 weeks, and after over indulging over Christmas (because let’s be honest, we ALL do this) the only changes I’m going to be making to make sure that I feel my best on my wedding day are as follows….

❤️ fuelling myself with nutritious foods to prevent unnecessary bloating - foods like the meal above which involve swapping a traditional fry up, to similar meal - but much more nutritious, and less likely to bloat me

❤️making sure I have a daily walk of at least 30 minutes every day - walking does SO much for the body, including speeding up the breakdown of our meals, and yet again, reducing bloat. Not only this but it maintains our blood sugar levels, increases positive mental health and stimulates blood flow

❤️ drinking 2.5L of water minimum a day - for SO many reasons. This is going to help my skin, my hair, my nails, my bloating, my digestion, my energy levels - water should ALWAYS be a priority

❤️including fun physical movement 3 times a week minimum - whether it’s an hour PT session, running, yoga stretching, dancing or skipping with Lily - because all movement is going to help me

None of these things are big changes
None of these things are difficult
None of these things involve cutting out foods I enjoy, I will still eat chocolate and biscuits, but I will be prioritising other foods first

But staying consistent with them - will definitely make me feel my best on my wedding day

Follow me over the next 11 weeks to show you that you do not need to do extremes to see big changes ❤️

Well 2025 has been a year for my little business!

From all the clients I had the pleasure of working with alongside Anna at Thrive - the incredible walk n talks and our summer event ❤️

To my own fitness progress, starting this year wishing I could run a 5km, to completing multiple 5 and 10kms and even a 14km - injuring my ankle badly but still managing to end the year on a little 4km run 🥰

My pull ups have improved, my strength is twice what it was last year and the friendships I’ve formed this year for me (and Lily) are second to none ❤️

Thank you to everyone who’s been a part of my 2025 journey and to all the incredible clients that I get to work with and support - and to all you new clients out there who I have yet the pleasure to meet

May 2026 be the year that you finally put YOU first and get to make it through a year without food noise, guilt, bad body image - but knowing you did your ALL and are the healthiest and happiest you 🥰

There’s a lot of “new year, new me” noise right now.

Coaches, programmes, quick fixes promising a whole new version of you for 2026.
I’m not here with shiny offers or fancy promises.

What I care about is you going into the new year actually knowing what you want to achieve.

Maybe that’s moving your body more.
Maybe it’s prioritising yourself without guilt.
Maybe it’s more presence, more time with family, more space to breathe.
Or maybe it is healing your relationship with food and being supported through coaching with me.

Whatever it is — I just don’t want you repeating the same patterns, staying stuck in the same cycle because change feels scary.

You don’t need a “new you”.

You need permission to choose yourself.

And this year, I hope you do 🤍

If you’re someone that struggles with their relationship with food, or just someone who is worried about progress over the festive period…

Here are my top tips to get you through ❤️

Second to last weekly dump of 2025 and im feeling incredibly grateful 🥰

We’re back up to 3 runs and the ankle is starting to feel stronger 🤞
An excellent pt session to end the year and some progress photos to be really proud of ❤️
Christmas wrapping, Christmas movies and hot chocolates 🍫
And a wholesome weekend spent with family and unicorn beds 🦄

It’s the final week of work, client check ins and getting stuff done before I relax and enjoy Christmas and I can’t bloody wait ❤️
