Yesterday, we celebrated the East of England Global Health Fellows 2024 (doctors) and the amazing work they have done for Global health, maximising their specialties. We also welcomed the new Global Health fellows 2025, and I am very honoured to be representing Nursing in the very first cohort for Nurses, Midwives, AHP.

We met with NHS England Global Health lead and interim Chief of CGHP, and most especially our partners from Kenya who came over to visit CUH for learning and development. What a very great opportunity for both Kenya and UK. Together, we raise the bar for global health 🩡

I am very excited for this opportunity and looking forward to work with my mentors who are exceptionally making a difference in Global Health.

Very honoured to be a recipient of the Diaspora Champion award presented by THET Patron, Lord Crisp, and Chief Nursing Officer (Wales), Sue Tranka.

It was a very humbling experience to meet amazing people who are all passionate about global health.

Ben Simms, THET Chief Executive Officer, said: β€œThe UK health system could not function without internationally recruited staff. They bring a wealth of understanding of how healthcare is delivered in diverse settings. That knowledge is being used to improve health here in the UK, and in countries of heritage, and it’s well worth celebrating.”

Celebrating 100 groups of Internationally-educated Nurses! What a very significant milestone for our NHS trustπŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ as we keep the frontline of the workforce strong, dynamic and steady. πŸ’ͺ🏻 so proud of what we have become! From barely understanding some English slang (spend a penny, loo, tenner, inn’it) to becoming awesome Nurses in many different fields!

Late post as just catching up with social media πŸ˜€πŸ˜„
