We wanted to celebrate the launch of our new Arlington Manor poetry club, with a seasonal poem from our wonderful Rose:
The Changing Season 2025
Now that the winds of the passing week have fled
The leaves now lie on the lawn all crumpled and red
The rain brings in the mud that lays on Mum's clean floor
And gusts of wind keep banging the kitchen door
The sun's rays are getting lower on the passage wall
And soon the darkness will be upon us and fall
As the change of the hour has seen to all that
We must remember in the cold, our coat and hat
Soon carols will be sung as in the days of old
And hot tea and chocolate will keep out the cold
So wrap up warm and embrace the New Year
As soon Santa will be here with all his reindeer
