Our next Sunday evening song circle is this Sunday 15th March, 6.30-8pm. If the perfect end to your Mother’s Day is taking a little time for you to breathe, sing and spend time with some other amazing women then our song circle is for you. All women welcome. People often ask what kind of songs we sing so here I’ve shared a few of our favourites. We try and keep the singing nice and simple so that mums can get as much singing in as possible whilst looking after their little ones. Everything is learned by ear and there is no sheet music. Many of the songs are written especially for this style of singing group, sometimes we sing lullabies or traditional songs from different cultures, and occasionally we throw the odd pop song in. All of the songs are carefully chosen to help support your wellbeing. There is also a Singing Mamas album and free Singing Mamas at Home programme available on the main Singing Mamas website if you would like to sing some more songs at home.

Singing Mamas Waterbeach and Singing Mamas Cambridge are back this week. Book your taster session today via Happity. You don’t have to be a ‘good singer’. It doesn’t matter if your little one cries. You don’t have to be a ‘mama’. All women are welcome. Come as you are. Breathe, sing, connect - leave feeling a little bit lighter. Come join the circle.

BBC Morning Live came to Forest Row to film our founder, Kate Valentine, with her original Singing Mamas group -the one she still leads every single week. Some of the women in this circle have been singing with her for 15 years.

As the founder of this movement, Kate holds the vision, the strategy and the training and she is still completely rooted in the practice. This Forest Row group is the flagship. It’s where the songs are sung, the stories are shared, and the real, tangible impact on maternal mental health happens week after week (as well as in the other 150+ groups meeting across the UK and further afield every week).

Presenter Jessica Wright experienced it firsthand: the joy, the honesty, the connection that unfolds when women sing together.

We believe every woman deserves to find a group like this. And we’re so proud that this is the community they chose to spotlight 🧡

Singing Mamas Cambridgeshire with Sally turned one year old this week! Over the past year I have run 77 singing circles in 4 different locations and welcomed over 100 women to come and sing with me. It has been so much fun and I can’t wait to see how these beautiful little singing communities continue to grow and thrive over the next year. Thank to everyone who has supported me in this new venture 🥰
