Messy play may look like fun (and it definitely is! 🎨), but there’s so much more to it.

Each week, we’ll be sharing a benefit of messy play and how it supports key skills like fine motor development, creativity, speech and independence. These are the skills children need later in life — to make friends, write, use a knife and fork… and so much more.

SPRING TERM 1 - Little Chefs week 👩🏻‍🍳🧁🍳

We had so much fun today for our first week of term; squelching in jelly, mixing our angels delight pudding, frying eggs, baking cakes, splashing in the water and creating lots of lovely art in the painting area!

My little nephew Noah was on hand to set up with me today, and he helped to give all of our Little Mess makers a sticker at the end of the session. (He was treated to a McDonalds for all of his hard work!).

Next week is colours week 🌈

Starting this February, we’ll be adding not one, but TWO new venues to our ever growing venue list!

Hayes Green Community Centre in Cannock and Mavesyn/Hill Ridware Village Hall in Rugeley.

We can’t wait to welcome you to our new venues with our Farmyard Frolics theme.

2025… what a year! ✨

We’ve created lots of mess again this year at Little Mess and celebrated our first Little Mess birthday! I even launched Little Glow Sessions halfway through the year which made 2025 even more special, and magical.
