Thank you to the Friends of William Harvey Hospital for their donation of 15 brand-new portering chairs for use in the hospital costing approximately £12,000.

Charity manager Jill Barringer said: “These chairs are desperately needed at WHH due to the theft and damage of the last ones we purchased a few years ago.

“Thank you to moving and handling senior co-ordinator Sharon Rinsland, the Board of the Friends and 2gether’s Brooke Saxby and Kyle Davies for getting this project over the line.”

Portering chairs are a highly requested item in the hospital, so if you’d like to help fundraise for one, and other projects donated by the Friends, please contact Jill on jill.barringer@nhs.net or 07854 033987, or donate to their JustGiving page: https://www.justgiving.com/charity/fo-williamharvey

If you use a portering chair, please make sure to take good care of them and return to the foyer when finished.

2gether Support Solutions warmly welcomes Jo Hills as the new Chair of 2gether Support Solutions, following the departure of George Jenkins OBE, who stepped down in the spring. Jo brings over 20 years of board-level and executive leadership experience. She has a strong record of building high-performing, sustainable organisations and improving service delivery with a clear social purpose.

Jo is a Fellow of both the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Chartered Management Institute. Her professional background includes senior roles at Deloitte, local government, and housing associations. She is particularly experienced in making the best use of estates and facilities, ensuring services run efficiently, meet high standards, and deliver excellent experiences for customers.

We also welcome Robert Musgrove, who joined the Executive Board as a Non-Executive Director in Common with the Trust on 1 May 2025. Robert is a Chartered Civil Engineer and holds an MBA from Henley Business School.
He has 25 years of experience leading transformation programmes in areas such as infrastructure, property, and sustainability—supporting clients including the Ministry of Defence, the Home Office, and the NHS. Robert currently works for IBM Consulting, where he is the UK Lead for Digital Real Estate and Sustainability.
