My story into the power of intermittent fasting and its excellent benefits of Autophagia and insulin resistance for life long metabolic health.

Fasting has always been a familiar concept. Growing up in Indian culture and within a Muslim family where fasting is a regular occurrence and has always been a part of my life, whether I took part in it or not. Around my youthful university days, my thought processes were foggy, and my attention spa...

Our environment can change our structure in an attempt for ease, but it can compromise our function. Unlike these trees, we can change our structure to succeed over our environment for a beautiful happy function.

The Crack

I often use the High-Velocity Low Amplitude (HVLA) thrust technique, producing the famous cracking/popping sound or unlocking a painful stuck joint.

Why do I use it:
1. Pain relief: HVLA can help alleviate chronic pain, such as back pain, headaches, and neck pain.

2. Improved range of motion: The HVLA adjustment can improve the range of motion of the joints, allowing for better mobility and flexibility.

3. Reduced muscle spasms: The adjustment can help reduce muscle spasms, which can cause pain and discomfort.

4. Improved posture: HVLA can help correct posture issues and improve alignment, reducing the risk of future injuries.

It helps to reset and improve the function of the nervous system for better long-term spinal health.

The other day a person asked me how she should approach her mechanical muscular pain. Should she try osteopathy, or should she go through the medical pathway?

My answer was.

The body has an incredible ability to regenerate itself.
It is one of the founding principles of osteopathy.

If you get the body in the correct position and alignment and allow it to move how it wants to, it can heal most of the time. A good functional alignment and freedom of movement allow for good blood flow and nerve and lymphatic drainage flow.

However, on rare occasions, when the body cannot adapt and heal itself well, such as a previous injury, obesity, or excess stress to the body is either mental or physical, it can prevent that access for our body to heal and recover. And this is where allopathic (conventional medicine) can be involved.
