Random:
If a bacteria kept doubling in size without being kept in check:
1️⃣ A single bacterium starts dividing,
2️⃣ It doubles every 20 minutes, and
3️⃣ Nothing ever slows it down (no nutrient limits, no death, no space issues ) then after 4 days (≈ 288 doublings), the total theoretical mass would be absolutely ridiculous, way, way beyond the mass of the Earth, the Sun, or even entire galaxies!

BEFORE AND AFTER - 12 MONTH JOURNEY 😃

I set out a bit of a weights adventure after the last years World Championships, in the hopes to put some muscle on the dad bod , and for general future health ( currently 37 ).

This tends to be a bit wishy washy for me as even though I love the weights, I love my cardio / kickboxing stuff too. In the last 12 months I Initially went up a lot faster than what I'm used too, putting on a little to much around the love handles and virtually knocking cardio to almost nothing, of course, this was a great recipe for excess fat gain lol.

Once I got so far with the weight it didn't feel great in some ways and so I though id start to gradually come back down whilst still crushing everything in the gym/dojo. Once the weight started coming down and I crept up the cardio, things started feeling a lot better, then the next phase was to get prepped as much as possible for the World championships this year, which was one of my main goals.

Not a bad 12 months in general, few kilos of muscle on, kickboxing sharpened up after half way through the year and cardio feels a lot better now. Still a bit of time before Xmas but i'll probably go with maintaining now rather than stripping any more fat off, as I write this we're a week away from World Championships 2025 and what's important now is performance, so eating good and not going crazy, but not in a deficit either. It's been a good year so far and one of the first years where I feel like i've done weights, conditioning and kickboxing, not to badly, all at the same time, which is normally not great lol, but my health is good in general and that's the main thing :) .

I hope you guys have had a decent year this year whilst juggling life, and if not, please throw over questions, i'm here to help. Once the World championships has settled i'll be tweaking the page a little bit ready for the "Habitgainz Clinic", to be continued...

Bit of time before Xmas now habitgainers, plenty of time for fitness , before stuffing in the extra calories! Make the most of it :)

I'M NOW A CERTIFIED Precision Nutrition Coach :)

Thomas Davies (PN-L1) - Lol, which means I’m trained in the science and practice of nutrition, behavior change, and habit-based coaching. This course is a 4 - 6 month course, but I started it in 2022, the year of doom! 😅. Due to all the distractions and other priorities since then I haven't been able to get around to finishing it properly until now. Anyway, chuffed that I got my head into it as of late so that I could put it aside / actually start using the knowledge, and now move swiftly into my degree.

This qualification enables me to level up in helping clients improve their health, fitness, and lifestyle by creating sustainable nutrition strategies that fit their real lives, not just quick fixes! With PN’s proven, client-centered approach, I can guide people toward their goals with clarity, support, and long-term success. This is a, 'If you're ready to make big change then lets make it happen', kinda service, a truly life changing add on to my arsenal of nutrition and coaching :) .

“Beginners complicate, experts simplify"

This is something i've learnt personally over the years and continue to do better at at time drifts by. When it comes to health and fitness ( and life ) , it’s easy to get lost in the noise, fancy supplements, the newest workout fads, or endless debates over carbs vs. fats, and worrying about weekly stressors. Beginners often feel they need a dozen strategies all at once, fast results, and massive results, but experts know the truth.

The basics, done consistently, create the biggest results for 90% of people ( the other 10% could be sports specifics and activity for extra curricular etc ) . Eating mostly whole foods, moving your body regularly, sleeping well, and managing stress will outperform the most complex plan that no one can stick to. Simplicity doesn’t mean easy, it means clarity, focus, and lasting progress. 😊
