What’s Coming Next

Alongside regular yoga classes, I’m beginning to explore something new.

I’m planning stand-alone somatics sessions — slower, simpler, and deeply nervous-system focused.

Less shape. More sensation.
Less doing. More being.

These sessions won’t replace yoga. They’ll sit alongside it, offering another way to feel supported and at home in your body.

If this sparks curiosity, you’re very welcome here 💛

Bringing Somatics Into Class

You might start to notice little moments of something new in class.

Slower transitions.
More choice.
Pausing to notice contact with the floor or the breath — without needing to change anything.

I’ve started gently weaving somatic principles into my yoga classes. Nothing heavy, nothing forced — just creating more space for safety, awareness, and ease.

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed, tired, or like your body needs kindness rather than effort… this is for you.

👉 Notice how it feels next time you’re in class

Why Somatics Found Me

Over the past year, I’ve been feeling into something new — or maybe something that’s been quietly there all along.

Through my own experience of stress, overwhelm, and noticing how my body holds on, I’ve been drawn more and more towards somatic practices.

Not to fix myself — but to listen.

Somatics has helped me slow down, tune in, and work with my nervous system rather than against it. And it’s quietly changed the way I move, teach, and rest.

This feels like the next natural layer of my yoga journey 🤍

Language matters more than we think

The way we talk about back pain can change how it’s experienced.

When we hear messages like
“protect your back”
“be careful here”
“this movement is risky”

our nervous system listens.

Fear and expectation alone can increase pain — even without injury.

This doesn’t mean ignoring pain.
It means offering calm, steady messages that support confidence instead of fear.

Your words — to yourself and in the room — matter.

✨ I teach with evidence, compassion, and permission to move at your own pace.

Movement helps backs heal

One of the strongest findings in pain research is this:
movement is good for backs.

Not forced.
Not extreme.
Not perfect.

Just regular, varied, curious movement.

Avoiding movement out of fear is more likely to keep pain around than gentle exploration ever is.

Your spine is built to bend, twist, load, and adapt — at its own pace.

Trust builds through movement.
And trust changes pain.

✨ If you’d like support exploring movement gently and confidently, my classes are always slow, optional, and human.

Back pain is common (and not a failure)

Low back pain is incredibly common.
Most people will experience it at some point in their lives.

It doesn’t mean you’ve moved “wrong”.
It doesn’t mean your body is broken.
And it doesn’t mean yoga has failed you.

In most cases, back pain isn’t linked to serious damage at all.

Pain is complex — influenced by stress, load, sleep, emotions, and life itself.

Your back is not fragile.
It’s adaptable, responsive, and designed to move.

Gentle reassurance is often the first step toward feeling better.

✨ If you’re navigating back pain and want a calmer, safer-feeling way to move, you’re very welcome in my classes.

Body-led reminder

Before February arrives, here’s your reminder:
your nervous system sets the pace — not your to-do list.

If you’ve been feeling wired, overwhelmed, or overstimulated, it’s not a personal failing.
It’s a sign your body is asking to be listened to.

Today, try this:
one hand on your chest, one on your belly, one slow breath.

💛 We don’t need to do February “better” — we can do it more gently.

February energy

I like to think of February as an in-between month.

Not quite winter, not quite spring.
A time for small shifts, not big changes.

Maybe that looks like:
• slowing your breath
• loosening your shoulders
• saying no a little sooner
• resting without explaining why

You don’t need a full reset.
Sometimes a soft recalibration is enough.

🌿 This is the energy I’m carrying into February.

Letting January soften

As February quietly approaches, I’m noticing how tired January can leave us feeling.

Not because we’ve done anything wrong — but because it often asks too much, too fast.

If your body feels a little heavy, your mind a little full, you’re not behind.
You’re human.

This week, what would it feel like to ease rather than push?

To meet yourself where you actually are?

✨ February doesn’t need a new version of you — just a slightly kinder one.

I’m letting January be what it is.

Some days that looks like rest.
Some days it’s a slow stretch and an early night.
Some days it’s simply choosing not to push.

Yoga reminds me I don’t need to fight the season — I can move with it.

✨ If January feels heavy, you’re always welcome to practise with me — link in bio.

January has you feeling tired, flat or unmotivated… you’re not alone.

Cold mornings, dark evenings, busy minds.
No wonder “lazy” shows up.

Yoga doesn’t fix everything — but it does help me breathe a little deeper, soften my shoulders, and feel more like myself again.

That’s enough for now.

🤍 Join me on the mat, or share this with someone who needs permission to go gently.

January can feel quietly stressful.

The pressure to reset.
To be motivated.
To have it all figured out.

Some days the most helpful thing I do is roll out my mat and move slowly — not to achieve anything, just to settle my nervous system.

Gentle yoga > forcing productivity.

✨ If this resonates, save this for a stressful day or come practise with me this week.
