Game of Boccia at Youldon House

We had a brilliant session at Youldon House today, enjoying a game of boccia with a few different variations to keep things interesting!

There was lots of fun, laughter, and just a touch of friendly competition thrown in. The session was fully seated, which meant everyone could take part comfortably, and engagement was fantastic throughout.

It was lovely to see everyone getting involved, supporting each other, and enjoying the moment together 💙

Another great example of how simple, inclusive activities can bring people together and boost well-being.

Lovely creative session today at Golau Caredig ✨

Residents got stuck into designing and making their own cards, choosing colours, writing messages, and decorating with lots of glue and sparkle! Activities like this help to support fine motor skills, creativity, and confidence.

We left a little pack behind for someone who joined us right at the end so they could enjoy making theirs later too 💛

Always a pleasure spending time with this group!

Christmas Card Making Fun!

Today’s session was full of festive cheer as we got creative making our very own Christmas cards using lots of different materials and textures. From glitter and ribbons to paints and patterned papers, everyone threw themselves into the activity and produced some truly lovely designs!

All the while, we listened — and of course sang along — to our favourite Christmas songs!

It was wonderful to see everyone joining in, supporting one another, and having fun. Moments like these remind us how powerful creativity, music, and community can be.

🎄✨ A Festive Afternoon at Youldon House! ✨🎄

We had such a brilliant time this week with Sophie from Rubicon Dance! 💃🕺

Six lovely people joined in for some fun seated dancing and a few even got up in the middle to show off their own moves! There was plenty of laughter, Christmas music, and the room looked amazing with trees, tinsel and festive decorations everywhere. 🎶🎄

🎄 Festive Fun at Age Connects Café, Holton Road! 🎄

Today our group got into the Christmas spirit with a creative session at Age Connects Café in Barry. We made sock snowmen filled with wonderfully scented Christmassy oils!

After our crafts, we enjoyed a Christmas & music quiz, which brought plenty of laughs, memories, and friendly competition.

Its was a great morning, thank you to everyone who came along!
