Therapeutic Activity Group: 10:30am–12:00pm
Come along and take part in our engaging, meaningful activities designed to support wellbeing, connection, and fun.

Creative moments at Youldon House!

Yesterday, our group enjoyed a relaxing plant pot decorating session, wrapping pots with twine and adding colourful flowers for that perfect personal touch.

We then set up a Montessori-inspired planting table, where everyone got hands-on planting crocus bulbs, encouraging connection, creativity, and sensory engagement through nature.

We had such a lovely, lively session today at Golau caredig 🌞

We started with some gentle seated exercises and stretches to music, then moved into a variety of fun games — from hoopla and bean bag toss to a ball game a bit like croquet and even seated basketball 🏀🎯

To finish, we played our Getting to Know You ball game, which always brings out smiles and stories! We learned about holidays to Greece 🇬🇷 and hidden hobbies like embroidery 🧵.

It was a brilliant mix of movement, laughter, and connection 💛

Next session is 12th November 1:30-2:30 and we have Rubicon Dance joining us!

Painting by Numbers Group at Age Connects Cafe on Holton Road

We had a wonderfully creative session today painting by numbers.
chatting, laughing, and listening to some Halloween music while painting, a perfect mix of creativity and connection. 🎶🎃

🎶 Musical Bingo at Youldon House! 🎶

We had such a fun session today at Youldon House playing Musical Bingo! Everyone joined in brilliantly, singing along and sharing memories inspired by the songs.

There was plenty of laughter, a great bit of friendly competition, and a few prizes handed out to our lucky winners!

It was a great, music-filled afternoon that lifted everyone’s spirits, we can’t wait for our next visit! 💛

Reminiscence Collages at Thomas Court

Today’s group at Thomas Court was all about creativity and memories! Everyone took part in making their own reminiscence collage, exploring special themes including home town, school, workplace, hobbies, favourite songs, and childhood foods.

Each section was given ten minutes to work on, and it was wonderful to see the variety of materials used - from acrylic pens and magazines to dried flowers and textured paper.

The room filled with conversation and laughter as we reminisced about early memories, favourite meals, and songs that brought us right back in time. It was a relaxing and nostalgic session that everyone thoroughly enjoyed.

🧘‍♀️ A Wonderful Morning at Age Connects Café! ☕💛

Yesterday we had a lovely seated exercise session with our friendly group — we stretched, strengthened our arms, legs, and core, and shared plenty of laughter and conversation along the way!

We finished with a gentle mindfulness grounding activity, using all five senses to help everyone feel calm, centred, and refreshed. 🌿

Seated exercise supports physical strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance, while also boosting mood, focus, and social connection — all important parts of maintaining wellbeing and independence.
