📢 IMPORTANT PATIENT INFORMATION 📢

We have an important announcement to share with you. Commencing Thursday 8th January 2026, our surgery will be starting the process of migrating from our current Vision clinical system to a new clinical system EMIS (Optum).
This is a much needed and longed for change in clinical systems. It is hoped that the new clinical system will improve efficiency, streamline our processes and enhance patient care. As the demands on our services increase, we need a system that is robust and reliable, designed to reduce delays, improve safety, and enable clinicians to focus more on patient care.
EMIS clinical system is much more intuitive and easier to use than our current system, it supports primary care teams to make informed decisions about patient care, simplifies appointment management, enhances reporting and ensures seamless data sharing with other healthcare providers, ultimately helping practices deliver safer and more effective care.
Of course, changing systems is not without its own pressures as we navigate the new system, learning how to create new clinics etc. We will need to restrict access to our appointments. You will see that from the 8th January 26 we will be restricting appointments to Urgent only until we are confident that we have all the correct measures in place. We appreciate that we are asking a lot of you but we would be grateful if you could bear with us while we navigate the changes that are ahead of us. We will keep you updated along this journey.
Your cooperation and understanding are greatly appreciated as we work to enhance our services for you. Thank you for your ongoing support.
