Across the United Kingdom it is Baby Loss Awareness Week until the 15th of October. This is something we have at the front of our minds as before starting Ivor Thomas Funerals, Mark was a Funeral Arranger for Babies and Children. Without what he witnessed in that job, he would’ve never started his own funeral business with the family being the main concern.
This is a movement that is now in its 22nd year where everyone within the baby loss community and beyond unite to remember and commemorate our much-loved and missed babies.
It is also a week of spreading awareness of the impact of pregnancy and baby loss, and how important correct bereavement support is during these times. This is done by public outreach and hosting events all over the UK, including some in Cardiff. Details to these events will be on their website below.
If you’ve been affected by a tragedy like this, then below is a link to the Baby Loss Awareness Week website where you can find and endless number of charities to talk to and receive support from. If you just want to donate, you can do that with the link below as well.

This is a very under spoken topic that we feel needs to be normalised within discussions and we will try our best to do what we can to help.
