This week, we welcomed a very special visitor to Hillside, a beautiful Shetland pony named Doug. He spent the afternoon trotting around to meet our residents, bringing smiles and laughter wherever he went.

For many, Doug’s visit was a wonderful opportunity to relive cherished memories of time spent with horses. Several residents fondly shared stories of caring for, riding, and even competing with horses in years gone by. It was heartwarming to see those memories come to life again and to hear the joy in their voices as they reminisced.

A big thank you to Doug for such a memorable and uplifting visit. We hope to see him again soon!

Today at Urmston, we took the time to truly connect and learn more about one another.

We had the privilege of listening to our African colleagues share stories about their customs, cultures, and traditions, and we were completely captivated. To make it even more special, they brought in traditional dishes for us to try, giving us a real taste of their heritage.

A brilliant reminder of the richness that diversity brings to our team.

We took some residents from Plas Cae Cryn to the Charlies Coed-Y-Dinas garden centre last week.

During the trip, the residents enjoyed a scenic bus journey, enjoyed looking round the animals, had a chance to do some shopping, had lunch and refreshments at the café before returning making their journey back, one lady also got to accomplish her new years goal.
