We have celebrated three of our fabulous staff members birthdays at Springbank last week

Carol and Deb our amazing support staff and our dedicated Manager Kay

All were showered with cards gifts, and everyone sang happy birthday to them

Susan enjoyed a visit from mum, they spent time doing a puzzle together enjoying quality time

Lucy, Sally and Alan enjoyed painting bonfire and firework paintings and what an amazing job they did. Their art work is displayed around the home for all to admire

Alan attended his monthly golden oldie singing class and thoroughly enjoyed a god old sing song and he’s looking forward to their Christmas party

Viv and Sean ( maintenance technician )spent time completing Viv’s 3d wood windmill model she was super proud of it once it was completed

Lucy went on a trip with Hayley our activity coordinator on the train down to Yatton station, where we enjoyed lunch, coffee and mince pies with the lunch club that Lucy volunteers at ( greenway center) the cost of the trip was kindly funded by the mobility scheme to show how accessible transport has become for people with disabilities accessing public transport.

Our recent biscuit decorating activity at Llys Hafren was a big hit with our residents, who had a wonderful time sitting together, chatting, and getting creative. Similarly, our Gingerbread clay painting session was full of laughter as residents painted their own unique designs while enjoying each other's company.

For Bonfire Night, our residents decided to stay cozy indoors this year, so we brought the celebration inside! We toasted marshmallows, danced to a lively disco, and shared plenty of laughter, making it a night full of warmth and fun.

At Lancum House we are fortunate to have many volunteers who support us in many different ways, so we decided to have a Volunteers celebration day.

Each volunteer was presented with a certificate, a posy and a bag of homemade treats.

After the presentation everyone enjoyed a buffet, interaction with the residents, who they have come to know really well and the entertainment from Dean Jones.

It was a fabulous afternoon for all.

Brynhyfryd celebrate their Staff Long Service Awards this week!

Home Manager Dannielle and Deputy Sarahjane joined the residents to mark their acheivement.

A wonderful buffet was laid on by Head Cheif Mark and his kitchen team while local entertainer Holly, who regularly vist Brynhyfryd sang some resident favourites.

Our resident’s staff and family members at New Elmcroft have been lucky enough to be involved in the local community project. Making a fabric banner with the landscape and nature of Old Shoreham.

This project is for all levels of creative skills and is adapted to each individual’s creative flare.

Residents have enjoyed mixing the paint pallets and using paintbrushes and paint rollers to decorate the fabric and used stencils and lino tiles with illustrations created in the home by Angela.

This activity has promoted mindfulness, offering a sense of perspective, and stimulating positive emotions with nature and the patterns made. This has been an enjoyable and social creative experience and we have been lucky to of received a visit from a Local artist Wendy who is running the local community Banner project.

If you want to be involved no experience is required and its a fun and colourful project to share with your family member.

We are still making more fabric squares and need help. Please contact Angela on elmcroft.activities@shaw.co.uk and we can arrange a craft session time that works for you and our residents.
