It was a great weekend in the Labour Party conference in Llandudno. Thank you to all MS’ who stopped by the stand to discuss our manifesto asks for the next Welsh Government. It was a particular highlight to hear recognising the excellent work community pharmacies are doing in her keynote speech. Diolch!

Antibiotic Resistance

What is Antibiotic Resistance?
Antibiotics treat infections by killing bacteria, but every time we take them we give the bacteria a chance to fight back.
Antibiotic resistance happens when bacteria finds a way to defeat the drugs designed to kill them.
This means that antibiotics may not work, when we really need them too.
Only take antibiotics when told to by your doctor, pharmacist, nurse or dentist.

It's crucial to remember that antibiotics are designed to combat bacterial infections, and should only be used when prescribed by a healthcare professional. Overusing or misusing antibiotics can lead to antibiotic resistance, which makes it harder to treat infections in the future.
