🧤 It’s Gloves Off Week! 🌍
This week, our team is taking part in Gloves Off Week, helping to raise awareness about using gloves responsibly in healthcare. 🩺

It’s easy to reach for gloves out of habit, but not every task needs them. By using gloves only, when necessary, we can help protect our patients, reduce environmental waste, and promote better hand hygiene.💚

A huge thank you to our amazing staff for championing the message: “Gloves on? Or just habit?” 🙌

Together, we’re making small changes that make a big difference, for our patients, our colleagues, and our planet. 🌱

Breast Cancer Awareness Month: Helen’s Story

Helen King, a mum-of-four, was fit, healthy, and living life to the fullest, until a routine check revealed she had breast cancer. Her bravery and determination through treatment are truly inspiring and remind us how important early detection is.
Helen was cared for by Zoe Barber our Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon, and her dedicated team. We’re proud to provide expert care and support for patients when they need it most.

Today is World Patient Safety Day 🌍
A day for all of us to stand together and reaffirm our commitment to safer care.

At Nuffield Health, we believe every person deserves care that is safe, respectful, and centred on them. Globally, 17 September reminds us that patient safety is not just a goal, it is a priority which demands global solidarity, cooperation, and constant improvement.

A few things we’re doing to support safer care for all:
Ensuring our teams are continuously trained on best practice and safety standards.

🎯Encouraging open communication: staff, patients, families, and caregivers should always feel heard.

🎯Using patient feedback to drive improvements in how we deliver care.

🎯We honour the World Health Organization resolution which recognises patient safety as a global health priority, and established World Patient Safety Day.

Safe care for every person, every time; that’s what we stand for and is at the heart of everything we do.
