This is a space dedicated to helping you find freedom in movement. Here, the focus is shifted from aesthetics, the appearance of the body, to function, the natural purpose of the body as it moves. Through this, we create a more sustainable relationship with our physical selves. We move away from a place of judgment and criticism, and into a space of exploration and acceptance. Classes are tailored to your specific ability and goals; whether this is for increased flexibility and freedom of movement as you get older, rehabilitation after injury, building your confidence and self-esteem or simply spending an hour focused purely on you. Everybody is welcome. Based on Natural Movement, MovNat principles and yoga, my classes are playful, non-competitive and inclusive. Weekly yoga classes in Milford Haven, Marloes Pembrokeshire, online via Zoom. Monthly workshops Cardiff.

🍁Standing Poses: Strength & Balance🍁

Standing poses are the foundation of most yoga practices. While they may look simple, they carry profound benefits for both body and mind.

1. Building Strength & Stability
Standing asanas activate major muscle groups:

Legs & Glutes - Strong quads, hamstrings, calves, and glutes support healthy joints and posture.

Core Muscles - Engaged abdominals protect the spine and improve balance.

Hips & Shoulders - Open and lengthen to improve mobility while reducing stiffness.

Over time, this strengthens the entire musculoskeletal system, improving posture and alignment in daily life.

2. Balance & Focus
When you practice poses like Tree or Warrior III, you train the body to steady itself and the mind to stay present. Balance poses sharpen concentration, patience, and resilience - skills that ripple into everyday challenges.

3. Grounding & Relaxation
Grounding poses (like Mountain or Warrior II) connect you to the earth, creating stability and confidence.

✨ Together, these postures create a beautiful balance: strength with softness, grounding with lightness, and focus with calm.

Is anyone else missing those beautiful summer days we’ve just had? As the seasons shift and the weather changes, it feels like the perfect time to come back to a regular yoga practice.

✨ I'm really looking forward to my next set of classes at The Torch Theatre! ✨

Yoga offers so many benefits, from improved posture and reduced stress to better sleep and a greater sense of balance and clarity in everyday life. Over the next half term, we’ll be exploring grounding breathwork, energising standing postures, and calming longer-held stretches to help us move through the season feeling steady, strong, and centred.

🌿 Breathing exercises - We’ll begin with focused breathwork to help calm the nervous system, improve concentration, and bring more awareness into the present moment.

🌿 Grounding, energising standing postures - These poses strengthen and stabilise the body, build resilience, and boost circulation. Standing postures also help develop focus and a sense of being steady and grounded.

🌿 Relaxing, calming longer-held stretches - To finish, we’ll ease into slower stretches that release tension, support flexibility, and invite deep relaxation.

As the seasons shift and the days become cooler, autumn invites us to slow down, ground ourselves, and nurture our bodies. In this term’s classes, we’ll focus on grounding postures, calming breathwork, and gentle sequences that help us reconnect and restore.

It’s a beautiful time to give yourself the space to move mindfully, release tension, and support your wellbeing as we transition into the quieter months of the year.

✨September Shift: Balance, Breath & New Beginnings✨

I hope you’ve had a wonderful summer. We’ve certainly been lucky with the weather, and I can definitely feel the seasonal shift beginning!

September is the perfect time to re-centre, breathe deeply, and return to balance, both on and off the mat. Yoga offers us the tools to ground the body, calm the mind, and steady our energy as we ease into a new season.

I’m also really excited to share a few updates:

🍃I’ve started re-training in massage therapy, something I’ve been wanting to return to for a long time. I hope to start offering treatments in the coming months and will keep you posted.

🍃 A new class in Broad Haven will be starting this September, more details below!

🍃 I am introducing more flexible pricing options, to help make classes more accessible for everyone.

Lastly, a heartfelt note to say I won’t be running the online class this half term due to schedule commitments. It’s been such a joy to hold that space since lockdown, and I’ll really miss our weekly connection. Thank you to everyone who has been part of that journey, I hope we can practise together again soon, whether in person or online 💚
