💛 Our Mission Explained 💛

Occupational Therapy should never feel abstract.

Our mission is simple:
To help children participate fully in real life.

Not just perform in a clinic.
Not just tick a box on a report.
Not just score on an assessment.

We assess thoroughly.
We plan collaboratively.
We intervene purposefully.

Because participation is everything.

💬 What does participation look like for your child? Tell us below.

💫 Our Vision at Seirrah Therapies

We don’t just “do OT”.

We are building a specialist service known for:
✔️ High quality assessments
✔️ Legally robust recommendations
✔️ Real life outcomes
✔️ Clear, defensible provision

Because families deserve clarity.
Schools deserve guidance.
Children deserve support that actually works.

💬 If you’ve ever felt confused by vague recommendations or generic advice, you’re not alone.

We believe in precision, purpose, and participation.

👉 Comment “VISION” if this resonates.

Yes….this 👇

Big feelings can feel so heavy for a child.
Sometimes what we see on the outside is just the tip of what they’re carrying inside.

A child who melts down, snaps, or shuts down is often not giving you a hard time — they’re having a hard time. Their brain is still learning how to manage big waves of emotion, and those waves can feel overwhelming without support.

When we shift from “What’s wrong with you?” to “What’s going on for you?”, everything changes. We start to see the load they’re carrying, not just the behaviour we’re trying to stop.

The good news is that emotional regulation is a skill. And like any skill, it can be taught, practised, and strengthened with the right tools and guidance.

If you want practical, child-friendly ways to teach regulation, calm big feelings, and build emotional resilience, my Managing Big Feelings Toolkit walks you through it step by step. Link in comments below ⬇️ or via Linktree Shop in Bio.

🚧 The move continues… 🚧

We officially have a wall! 🙌

The new clinic space is starting to take shape, and it’s exciting to see it slowly becoming real. That doorway you can see? That’s going to open up a whole new layout for us.

At the moment it might look like organised chaos, shelving, boxes, therapy resources, furniture everywhere, but behind the scenes there’s a plan (we promise! 😅).

There’s still a lot to sort, move, build and arrange… but step by step, it’s coming together.

Thank you for bearing with us during this transition. We cannot wait to welcome you into a space that’s calm, functional and built with children and families in mind 💙

More updates soon…

We Are Growing and We’re Looking for Experienced Professionals to Join Us

At Seirrah Therapies, we work with children, young people and families navigating complex needs, including sensory integration and processing differences, neurodivergence, emotional regulation challenges, speech delay and statutory processes such as IDPs, EHCPs and Tribunal.

We are expanding our associate team and are inviting experienced professionals to express interest.

This is not an entry level role. We are looking for clinicians and specialists who:

• Have substantial experience working with children and young people
• Understand sensory integration and participation-focused practice
• Can work independently and confidently
• Value high quality documentation and professional integrity
• Want to be part of a team that operates at a strategic and evidence-informed level

We welcome interest from:

• Occupational Therapists
• Speech and Language Therapists
• Educational Psychologists
• Specialist Teachers
• Other experienced allied professionals aligned with our ethos

What makes us different?

✔️ Complex and meaningful casework
✔️ Professional autonomy with strong clinical standards
✔️ Clear processes and structured support
✔️ Opportunities to contribute to assessments, consultation, training and specialist work
✔️ A team culture rooted in respect, expertise and purpose

🚧 BIG QUESTION…

We’re designing our brand new Seirrah Therapies clinic in Cardiff and we don’t want to get this wrong.

So we’re asking YOU.

If you were walking into our clinic as:

👶 A child
👩‍👧 A parent
👩‍🏫 A teacher
🧠 A fellow OT
⚖️ A professional attending a meeting

What would make you think…

🩶 “This space gets it.”

We’re planning:

🌀 A Sensory room
🧩 A fun OT assessment & therapy room
🧠 A calm consultancy / meeting space
☕ A welcoming reception & waiting area
🎓 A comfortable training area

Now tell us…

👇 What’s a NON-NEGOTIABLE feature?
👇 What’s something you’ve seen elsewhere that worked brilliantly?
👇 What should we absolutely avoid?

Comment below, we’re genuinely taking ideas on board as we build this space.

Let’s create something that feels safe, regulating and purposeful from the moment someone walks in.

Clinic move update: we may need to start wearing protective gear just to get through the day. 😅

Yesterday’s highlights included:
• Our builder injuring his shoulder, so the partitioning is now on an unexpected break.
• Mark lifting heavy items and ending up with a sore wrist.
• Our daughter enthusiastically helping… then slipping on the stairs and bruising her leg.
• The rain doing its absolute best to sabotage the whole process.
• And for the grand finale… I performed a slow-motion spin and fall in front of the landlord, knocking things off the desk and bruising my upper arm. I’d like to say it was a planned demonstration of vestibular input, but unfortunately it was just me tripping over my own feet. Ten out of ten for dramatic effect, zero for dignity.

At this point, the clinic isn’t just being renovated — it’s demanding a sacrifice from each family member first.

But… today is a new day.
Bruises will fade, wrists and shoulders will recover, the rain will stop (hopefully!), and the new clinic will still become the calm, welcoming space we’ve been working towards.

Onwards… just with slightly more caution today!

🌿 New Small Group Training in Cardiff – We’d Love Your Input 🌿

With our new Seirrah Therapies clinic opening in Cardiff, we’re planning to run a series of small, specialist training sessions for:

✨ Parents
✨ Professionals

We’re intentionally keeping groups very small (3 - 4 people maximum) to ensure sessions are:

• Personal
• Practical
• Discussion led
• High quality
• Focused on real life application

Before we secure dates, we’d really value your feedback 👇

For parents, would you be more likely to attend:

☀️ During the summer holidays?
🌆 An evening session (term time)?
🏫 During school hours?
📅 A weekend?

For professionals, would you prefer:

📚 Twilight sessions?
📅 Half day?
🌿 Holidays?

We haven’t finalised topics yet, these may include areas such as:

• Sensory integration & processing
• Emotional regulation
• Supporting school avoidance / anxiety
• Lego-Based Intervention
• Understanding demand avoidant profiles
• Fine & gross motor skills in daily life

If this is something you’d be interested in or if there’s a topic you’d love covered, please comment below or message us.

Your feedback will shape what we offer 💙
