Last week we were all glammed up to attend the Cumbria Baby & Children’s Business Awards this week we were cheering at end the Carlisle Half!
Well done to everyone who took part in the Carlisle 10K and Half Marathon sponsored by Kate Robson Estate Agent 🥳

So over the weekend I was delighted to attend the Cumbria Baby & Children’s Business Awards 2026 at The Halston Hotel and what a fabulous night it was!!
Little Lifers First Aid sponsored the Best Nursery or Childminder Category
Well done to all the finalists who were shortlisted and a HUGE Congratulations to Katie Hugill Childminding who won the Award! 🥳
It was so lovely to meet lots of new people at the event who have incredible businesses for children and families across Cumbria!
Also a huge Well done To Sarah Black The Founder of Cumbria Baby & Children’s Business Awards you put on an amazing evening!
The food and entertainment was fantastic and I can’t wait to see what you do for 2027! ⭐️

🚨 Voting Has Now Closed 🚨

Wow… what an evening! In the last 10 minutes alone, we received over 100 additional nominations, pushing us right to the system limit — so voting has now had to close earlier than expected.

We never imagined we would reach anywhere near the 10,000-response limit when we launched the nominations, and we are completely blown away by the support for businesses across Cumbria. 💛

Thank you SO much to everyone who has taken the time to nominate their favourite baby and children’s businesses — your support means everything to them, and to us.

Over the next week, we’ll be carefully checking through all nominations to ensure accuracy and fairness. Finalists will then be announced on Saturday 29th November at 7pm during our online reveal event.

🌟 Important Update – Nominations Almost at Maximum! 🌟

We’ve had an incredible response to the Cumbria Baby & Children’s Business Awards — thank you so much to everyone who’s taken the time to nominate their favourite businesses! 💛

We’re now extremely close to reaching the maximum number of responses that Google Forms allows (10,000). We’re currently at just over 9,900 nominations — which means the form may reach its limit very soon.

When we launched the awards, we never imagined we’d receive anywhere near this many nominations, so we genuinely didn’t expect this limit to ever be an issue. The response from the community has completely blown us away!

If you haven’t submitted your nominations yet, please do so as soon as possible, as the form will automatically stop accepting responses once it hits 10,000.

Every year I bring my little boy to Walby Farm Park for Bonfire night!
This year Walby you certainly did not disappoint!
The display as always was AMAZING! not to mention the gorgeous S’mores my little boy devoured within minutes!
So much hard work & effort goes into these events and I was just want to say Thankyou so much we absolutely loved it! ❤️🎆🎇🎆🎇❤️
