✨ Another Happy Client – Hearing Restored & Dizziness Resolved ✨
This lovely lady came to me with very reduced hearing and was also experiencing dizziness.
After a full ear assessment, it was clear that impacted ear wax was the cause.
Once the wax was safely removed using duel technique of microsuctioning and irrigation, her hearing improved immediately and the dizziness settled soon after. 👂💙
This is a great example of how blocked ears can affect more than just hearing — balance can be impacted too.
If you or someone you care for is experiencing: ✔️ Reduced hearing
✔️ Blocked or full ears
✔️ Dizziness or imbalance
A professional ear check could make all the difference.

Should You Use Ear Candles?

Short answer: ❌ No.
There is no evidence that ear candles don’t remove wax — they can cause burns, blockages, and even ear canal damage.

Microsuction or irrigation are the only safe, effective methods.

Why Does Ear Wax Build Up?

A few reasons include:
• Narrow or curved ear canals
• Using cotton buds
• Earbud/airpod use
• Ageing
• Skin conditions (eczema, psoriasis)
• Hearing aids or ear plugs

Knowing the cause helps prevent it happening again.

How Often Should You Have Ear Wax Removed?

Most people don’t need it regularly.
But you may need more frequent checks if you:
• Wear hearing aids
• Use earbuds often
• Have naturally narrow canals
• Produce dry or flaky wax

For these people I suggest 6 monthly checks to keep on top on your ear wax.

A quick check can prevent sudden blockages

What Is Ear Wax?

Ear wax isn’t dirty — it’s your ear’s natural cleaning system!
It traps dust, protects against infection and moisturises the ear canal.

When it builds up too much, that’s when problems start.
If you’re feeling blocked, I can help with safe removal.

Microsuction and Irrigation Explained

Irrigation uses warm water to gently flush out wax.

It’s ideal for:
• Hearing tests; as it's the most effective way of removing 100% of wax
• Softer wax
• Clients who prefer a warm water method

Not suitable if you’ve had:
• Recent infections
• Perforated eardrum
• Ear surgery

Microsuction is a gentle suction method used to remove ear wax.

It’s ideal for:
• Precise and safe wax removal for people with history of perforated ear drum
• Suitable for most ears

Ask if unsure — I’ll guide you safely
