Our children have been learning about their families and talking about their feelings. During our activities, they practised their mark-making skills by drawing lovely pictures of the people who are special to them.

The children enjoyed sharing their thoughts about their families and telling us what makes them happy. Some of the children said things like, “My mummy plays with me,” “My daddy is special,” and “I love my daddy.”

It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to express their emotions, develop their communication skills, and celebrate the important people in their lives.

Our nursery promises are embedded within our daily routines and practice and support the promotion of British Values. Through our consistent expectations, positive role modelling, and inclusive environment, children learn to treat others with kindness and respect. We support children in developing an understanding of mutual respect and tolerance, encourage them to make choices and express their views, and help them learn right from wrong. This enables children to develop confidence, build positive relationships, and become respectful and valued members of our nursery community.

“WE WANT TO WIN — AND WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Hello families!

All Little Nurseries are currently in an internal Google Review competition, and we are aiming for the TOP SPOT

The winning nursery will receive a joint prize:

A team social for staff
Plus, a special animal visit (or similar experience) for the children right here at our nursery!
We’d absolutely LOVE to win this for our amazing team and children — and your 5* Google reviews could make all the difference. If you’ve enjoyed your experience with us, please take a moment to leave a review and help us beat the competition.

Every 5* review counts. Let’s show everyone how fantastic our nursery community really is!

At Little Owls, our children enjoy taking part in lots of fun, hands-on experiments that spark their curiosity and support their speech and language, teamwork, motor skills — and most importantly, their enjoyment of learning with friends.
If this sounds like something your child would enjoy, why not come along to Little Owls to see what we offer and discover how your child can learn, grow, and develop with us?

This week our children have become little investigators as they took part in a science experiment. They learned about different colours and the effect of mixing colours together. They used their fine motor skills to control pipettes while mixing paint and water, and they talked about what they could see happening, using words such as “mixing,” “changing,” and “wow!”

I am delighted to share with you all, that the nursery community defibrillator has now been installed.

A big thank you to each and everyone of you that helped to make this possible.

The initiative was part of our ongoing commitment to safeguarding every child, member of staff, parent, and visitor who steps through our doors. While we hope it will never need to be used, having a defibrillator available will make a vital difference in the event of a cardiac arrest—dramatically increasing the chances of survival.

Protecting and caring for the children in our nursery is always our top priority. Installing a defibrillator reflects our commitment to best practice and ensuring we provide the safest, most supportive environment possible.

Once again, Thank you to each and everyone of you.
