Today we remember 80 years since VE Day – a time to honour the bravery, sacrifice, and spirit of a generation that gave so much.
On this special day, I’ll be celebrating with my lovely care clients by sharing wartime stories and listening to some of the wonderful music from the 1940s.

It’s always a privilege to hear their memories and reflect on the strength and resilience of those who lived through it.
Let’s never forget their courage – and let’s take the time to cherish and thank them today.

Meet the Face Behind GRHcare

Hello! I’m Gwen Hall, the proud founder of GRHcare. I’ve worked in the care sector for over 8 years, supporting individuals with a wide range of needs – from personal care and dementia support to end-of-life care and companionship.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working in both residential settings and providing care in people’s homes. I have been in managerial roles where I led teams and made sure high quality care was given. I hold an NVQ Level 4 in Health and social care and have done 2.5 years of my mental health nurse training. These experiences have shaped the values GRHcare is built on today: compassion, trust, and dignity.

I started GRHcare because I believe everyone deserves high-quality, personalised care – the kind of care I would want for my own family. Based in Carmarthenshire, I offer one-to-one, person-centred support that’s tailored to each client’s needs, whether it’s help with daily routines, medication, or simply a friendly face to talk to.

This is not just my job – it’s my passion.
