Are you an unpaid carer?

Do you look after a family member, neighbour or friend who relies on you and needs your support?

If you provide emotional, physical or practical support, whatever your age and whoever you look after, this could mean you're an unpaid carer.

As an unpaid carer, you have a right to information, advice and assistance to help you in your caring role. There is support available to you.

Find more information on the poster.

Women with a urinary tract infection can now be assessed and treated, if needed, at all community pharmacies in Swansea and Neath Port Talbot.

The service is available to most women aged between 16 to 64, who have symptoms of a UTI.

These can include pain or a burning sensation when p*eing, needing to p*e more often than usual, needing to p*e suddenly or more urgently than usual and lower tummy discomfort, among other symptoms.

You must register for the Common Ailments Service at your pharmacy to be able to access it, which only takes a few minutes.

Pharmacists will complete a clinical assessment in a private consultation room to determine whether treatment is needed. In some cases, a urine test may be required.

If treatment is required, the pharmacist can provide this without the need for you to see a GP.

They can also offer self-care advice and information on what to do should symptoms worsen.

Community pharmacies may ask you to call back or advise you to book an appointment, so please check availability at your local pharmacy.

🌿 Spaces still available Head Outdoor (Mobility-Inclusive Programme) 🌿

We’ve got a few spaces left on our Head Outdoor programme starting next Monday.

This is our mobility-inclusive Head Outdoor group. It’s designed with accessibility in mind and works well for people with mobility challenges or additional access needs, while still being open to anyone who would benefit from a supportive, gentle outdoor wellbeing programme.

What it looks like:
The programme runs over five weeks, meeting weekly. We use a blend of:

Nature-based experiences

Psychology and wellbeing support

Creative, arts-based activities

Time to pause, reflect, and reconnect

Sessions are based at the Woodland Centre in Penllergare Woods, using both indoor space and the accessible garden area, as well as being outdoors in ways that are thoughtful, flexible, and manageable. There’s no expectation to “push yourself” — the emphasis is on meeting people where they are and growing wellbeing at a human pace.

If you (or someone you support) would value:
✔ time in nature that feels genuinely accessible
✔ psychologically informed wellbeing support
✔ creativity without pressure
✔ a calm, welcoming group space

then this programme could be a really good fit.

Contact Alex via email or text to arrange a call to register. Details below.
