⬇️Let’s discuss a few myths around sports therapy⬇️
1. As much as one session might reduce pain or increase movement in particular areas of the body. Clients usually feel that they get the best results when they stay on top of their recovery and book a regular appointment instead of waiting until they are sore again.
2. Your massage may not be completely pain free for the entire session, however it is not the aim to inflict pain on the client therefore communication with your therapist is important throughout the session.
3. Many of my clients come from various backgrounds, some are into fitness and compete in different sports, however many of them aren’t into sports at all. We can all suffer from muscle strains and injuries but leaving it and pretending it’s not there isn’t the answer!
