Why should you come along to Baby Sensory? 💛

Our classes are built on over 35 years of research by our founder Dr Lin Day, meaning every session is thoughtfully designed and every activity has a purpose to support your baby’s development 🧠

But it’s not just about your little one, it’s for you too!

Another lovely, fun filled morning at Longridge today! ☔

We spent time reinforcing learning using our signs to help our babies understand the world around them 🌞. We also developed our sensory awareness with lots of movement, lights💡, bubbles 🫧, and our thunder drum ⛈️.

We finished off under a rainbow, having a relax with with cuddles, balloons and more bubbles 🌈 (if anybody has any pictures of our rainbow, could you please send them to me? 🤞🏻)

It’s been such a wonderful week. Thank you all so much for coming and I hope to see you again next week! 🥰

Taz was just 4 months old when he took part in the last Sensathon with Mel at the Falmouth Baby Sensory class in Cornwall. His first ever fundraiser, Taz raised over £1,800 for 's in memory of big brother Zak.

Dad Tim says, “Fundraising for Tommy’s means so much to our family since losing our little boy Zak during labour in 2021. The research Tommy’s does, and the support they offer families, is vital to minimise the devastation we went through.
I do raffles and Aston Villa football shirt sales. A massive thanks must go to the Aston Villa football shirt collectors, our close friends and family (especially Zak’s grandparents and Uncle Ric) for the amazing support when we fundraise.”

Exciting news! ✨

I am SO happy to share that after lots of gorgeous feedback, I’ve secured a beautiful new venue just 10 minutes from Lancaster City Centre! It’s also super easy to get to for those coming from further afield - right off the motorway with PLENTY of parking 💛

Starting from Friday 1st May, we will be starting our sessions for 0-13months at Ellel Village Hall and it truly is a stunning and accessible space! There’s a really lovely area equipped with a coffee machine for you to sit and (try to😂) relax if you are a little early for class or after class if you need to feed your baby before you leave as you can see in the pictures. There is also plenty of room for prams, car seats, and all the bits and bobs you need to bring along with you in our main room 🎒

Our sessions are 1 hour long and are thoughtfully designed around your baby’s natural play–rest–play cycle which is what makes Baby Sensory so special. It helps our littles learn, grow and enjoy every moment without overstimulation. It’s all about big fun for little brains 🧠

We have some really exciting themes planned for our first 4 weeks:
🌊 Sea Songs for Babies
🐒 Jungle Jitters
🎶 Rhythm and Rhyme
🇪🇸 Hola Barcelona! – a brand new theme supporting our Tommy’s fundraising event

Hola Barcelona! will be taking place week commencing the 18th May 🇪🇸

In support of the charity we will be running our brand new lesson plan 'Hola Barcelona!’

A cultural trip to Barcelona with Pip the Baby Sensory pup. A journey across the sea 🌊, flamenco dancing 💃🏻, a visit to the art museum and a yellow lantern parade 🏮

Who are Tommys? 💛
Tommys are a leading UK charity dedicated to making pregnancy and birth safe for everyone by funding research into preventing baby loss. They provide expert midwife led support and information with a free dedicated helpline.

Babies can be sponsored to take part in a number of challenges in class 🙌🏻
