Spring is a great time to do a gentle de-tox – so add a green smoothie into your diet. But some green smoothies are better than others! To balance hormones your liver needs to be working well as old hormones are removed from the body by the liver.
Cruciferous vegetables are really effective in supporting the de-tox process in the body so add – kale, spinach, broccoli to your morning smoothie, sweeten with apple juice and add in a tablespoon of ground flax seed for those important essential fatty acids and you have a fab de-tox smoothie. Not only for the spring but all year round.
