The Better Business Show is nearly here!

On Thursday 18th September I’ll be at the Worthing Leisure Centre with my Worthing BNI colleagues, showcasing our group and inviting new businesses to see what we’re all about.

BNI has helped me grow First Aid Savvy through trusted referrals and long-lasting relationships. It’s also a lot of fun – many of our members have stayed for years because it works so well for them. For me, my BNI meeting is also a weekly input of good energy - if you're a sole trader, you'll know that motivation can fluctuate!

Come and meet me and my fellow BNI peeps at the stand and find out more ... and don't forget to enter our prize draw too!

Another chance to get First Aid qualified with a regulated 1-day Emergency First Aid at Work open course ... this qualification will enable you to be included as a First Aider in your workplace headcount and is valid for 3 years.

Date: Monday 22nd September 2025
Venue: Ham Manor Golf Club, Angmering
Time: 9.15am-5.00pm
Cost: £105pp

The syllabus is set by the HSE and includes: Treating an unconscious casualty, CPR, use of an AED, choking, seizures, bleeding, minor injuries and more.

Free parking on-site, lunch available, free refreshments throughout the day. Max 12 per course so please book your space ASAP.

Great question ...!! In an ideal world, we would never be more than a minutes journey on foot from a defib ...

If you have a suitable location that could house a public defib, why not get in touch with the BHF for more information .... and lets get more public defibs out there!

Defib spotting mode on … this one is at the Eivissa Estation del Autobús in the waiting room….

It doesn’t matter what country you are in, the defib language is the same .. get hold of one as quickly as you possibly can (use www.defibfinder.uk for your nearest one), press the green button, expose the casualties bare chest and pop those pads on…

What are you doing this Friday (1st August)?

I'm running another one of my Open Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) courses at Ham Manor Golf Club in Angmering.

You'll have a full day of learning essential life-saving skills and gain a regulated certificate that is universally accepted for work or just get these skills for your own personal development.

First Aid is a skill that literally could save someone's life and you never know when this might be called upon.

As a regulated course, there is a limit of 12 candidates but I still have a few spaces available. Pop me an email/message if you'd like more details or you want to book a space to lucy@firstaidsavvy.co.uk .

Todays EFAW course at Ham Manor Golf Club went like a dream - 9 candidates, 6 mannies, 1 trainer and a home-made cake!!

All 9 passed with flying colours - everyone had lots of fun whilst learning super important life-saving skills!

Next Open EFAW course is Friday 1st August so get in touch if you’d like to take up a space. £95pp which includes the regulated certificate.

Prices are going up to £105pp from September onwards so why not grab yourself a bargain … !
