🌟 Celebrating National Apprenticeship Week! 🌟

Arsenij started his diploma while already working in a senior position because he wanted to improve his skills and knowledge to better support his team. He wanted to feel more confident in his work and provide the best care and support possible.

Completing the diploma during lockdown gave him extra time to focus on his studies alongside his job. Achieving the qualification was such a rewarding experience, it boosted his confidence and helped him feel more capable in his role.

Apprenticeships are an amazing way to learn, grow, and make a real difference every day. πŸ’ͺ

🌟 My Apprenticeship Journey – A Personal Story 🌟

Starting my apprenticeship was a decision inspired by my desire to build a strong professional portfolio, one that would make me more confident, competitive, and capable in my role. I chose my NVQ level because it aligned perfectly with my experience and the direction I wanted to grow in. From the very beginning, I had no hesitations; I knew it was the right step for me.

Balancing work and study turned out to be smoother than I expected, as both roles complemented each other and supported my progress. Still, there were challenges along the way, especially having to keep up with the required pace to meet all the demands. But through it all, the part I enjoyed most was the research: discovering new information, expanding my knowledge, and understanding my work on a deeper level.

Although I haven’t fully achieved my NVQ yet, and my work is still under review, I am incredibly proud of how far I’ve come. The dedication, the effort, and the determination have all shaped me into someone who can now work more effectively and confidently. This journey has certainly changed the way I see my role and has given me a stronger sense of purpose and professionalism.

My tutor played a huge part in this experience, always patient, supportive, and encouraging. And if I had the chance to go back, I would absolutely do it all again. The growth, the learning, and the confidence I’ve gained have made every step worth it.

To anyone thinking about starting an apprenticeship, my advice is simple. Go for it. It might challenge you, but it will also shape you, strengthen you, and open doors you didn’t expect.

Here’s to learning, growing, and becoming the best version of ourselves. πŸ’™βœ¨

🌟 Meet Robert – Our Dedicated Senior Support Worker! 🌟

Robert, who has been a valued part of Forge House Care, recently completed his Level 3 apprenticeship to strengthen his professional knowledge, formalise his experience, and deliver even higher-quality care. πŸ“šπŸ’Ό

The apprenticeship matched his senior role, helping him develop leadership, decision-making, and accountability skills. Balancing work and study was challenging at times, but with support from assessors, trainers, managers, and colleagues, he successfully completed it. πŸ‘πŸ€

Robert enjoyed applying his learning directly to practice, particularly in leadership, safeguarding, and person-centred care. Achieving this qualification while working full-time was extremely rewarding, it validated his hard work and helped him see himself as a leader and role model. 🌱✨

The apprenticeship boosted his confidence and professional growth and opened doors for Level 5 progression and management opportunities. His advice? β€œGo for it, stay organised, and put your learning into practice!” πŸ’‘πŸ’ͺ

🌟 My Apprenticeship Journey – A Q&A Story 🌟

Hi, my name is Luisa, and I’m a Senior Support Worker at Forge House Care. I wanted to share my apprenticeship journey, from the challenges to the achievements, in the hope it inspires others.

What inspired me to start my apprenticeship?
I wanted to challenge myself and prove that I could complete it. I knew it would open many doors for me, both personally and professionally.

Why did I choose this NVQ level?
I completed my Level 3 many years ago, and it felt like the right time to progress and finally take on my Level 5.

Did I have any hesitations before starting?
Absolutely. I knew it was going to be hard, but I was surrounded by people who supported and encouraged me from the very beginning.

πŸ’Ό My Experience & Journey

How did I find balancing work and study?
It was very difficult at first. But as time went on, I learned to manage it by setting aside dedicated study time in my diary.

What was the most challenging part?
Juggling work, study, and family life all at the same time.

What did I enjoy the most?
Researching the more difficult topics, I loved the feeling of understanding something challenging.

πŸŽ“ Achievement & Feelings

How did it feel to finally achieve my qualification?
I was incredibly proud of myself, and so were the people around me, my husband, my family, and everyone who supported me along the way.

Did this change how I see my role?
Yes. It opened my eyes to future possibilities and new potential.

What advice would I give someone thinking about starting?
Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Managing your time between work and study is the key.

🀝 Support & Reflection

Who helped me the most?
My assessor and my support group, they kept me going when things felt overwhelming.

Would I do it again?
I think I would, even though it was incredibly difficult. The achievement makes it worth it.

How has this qualification impacted my confidence at work?
It has made me more confident, more knowledgeable, and much stronger in my management and leadership skills.

πŸ’™ My journey shows that no matter how hard it gets, with support, determination, and belief in yourself, you can achieve anything. 🌟
