Every day, Jing therapists step into treatment rooms and quietly change lives. Using the Jing Method of massage, they help people move with less pain, feel more at ease in their bodies, and regain trust in themselves after years of discomfort.

This work matters. Pain can be isolating, exhausting, and life-limiting, and skilled, compassionate touch can be truly transformative.

Jing therapists are a treasured resource, combining clinical skill, presence, and heart to support real, lasting change.

To every massage therapist out there doing this work, thank you.
What you do makes a difference, more than you may ever know.

Don't beat yourself up if you need to rest this month.

On the twelfth day of Christmas, my therapist gave to me….

On the tenth day of Christmas, my therapist gave to me….

Ten toes a tingling!

Now that everyone is friends again, Cyril and the elves are having a lovely pedicure day! Here’s Cyril’s top tips for looking after your tootsies.

Keep them warm but not sweaty – use socks with natural fibres and layers, and always change if they get wet.

Have a mini foot spa – all you need is a bowl with warm (not hot) water and some lovely smellies. Try it, you’ll be surprised the instant relaxation. Just make sure you dry your feet thoroughly.

Keep moisturised – if you suffer form cracked heels or chilblains, you absolutely need Neals Yard Organic Warming Salve – just contact me for more info.

Don’t scrimp on boots – always get the best you can afford that are waterproof, have a good grip, and are not too tight to maintain circulation.

Keep moving! Keep toes wiggling and throw in some ankle exercises to boot – this keeps the circulation, well, circulating!

On the ninth day of Christmas, my therapist gave to me,

Nine noses nosing!

Cyril is using plant power to calm down the elves! Here are his top Christmas scents:

Frankincense: The go-to oil to slow the breathing and calm the nervous system, its also good for coughs and sore throats (Do not take internally!!). Traditionally associated with Christmas as it is also commonly used in mediation and prayer.

Myrrh: Similar to Frankincense, myrrh is good for respiratory issues and is generally healing and soothing.

Top combo: Frankincense, Myrrh and Fir – smells like starlight and will help with any breathing issues

Cinnamon: Another great one for airborne infections – you’d almost think the old healers were on to something here…. It’s also a very warming oil both internally and externally (do not apply direct to skin!!), it is great for relieving winter blues and lethargy.

Ginger: The ultimate winter warmer! Warms both physically and mentally, especially good for mental exhaustion. Great for easing muscles and also good for travel sickness, if you have any long journeys ahead!

Juniper: Not just for gin, juniper is a very purifying and cleansing oil. The scent isn’t for everyone, hence it’s good in a blend.

Top combo: Cinnamon and Orange: with orange being the happy, uplifting oil, this is a great combination to instantly revive mood.

Top combo: Ginger and Juniper: a great oil for massage during the winter months, particularly helpful in January if you’re worn out after the festive season.

Need help? I’m also a qualified aromatherapist, so just ask.

On the eighth day of Christmas, my therapist gave to me…

Eight happy hooves!

Cyril had a lovely day with his four legged friends. Massage can be especially beneficial for horses during cold weather, when their muscles and circulation are more easily affected. Here are the key advantages:

Improves circulation: Cold temperatures can cause blood vessels to constrict, reducing blood flow. Massage helps increase circulation, keeping muscles warm, oxygenated, and better able to function.

Reduces stiffness: Horses often become stiff in winter due to tighter muscles and reduced movement. Massage helps loosen muscle fibres, improving suppleness and range of motion.

Supports joints: Cold weather can aggravate joint discomfort, especially in older horses or those with arthritis. By relaxing surrounding muscles and improving fluid movement, massage can reduce pressure on joints.

Reduces stress: Cold weather often means more time in stalls. Massage promotes relaxation, reducing anxiety and restlessness from limited turnout.

Aids in detecting issues: Regular massage allows owners or therapists to spot tight areas, swelling, heat, or asymmetry early—helpful when layers of winter coat hide subtle signs.

On the seventh day of Christmas, my therapist gave to me….

Seven sloths a snoozing (some imagination required!!)

Cyril knows how important it is to get a good night’s sleep, especially with so much going on. Here are his seven top tips!

😴 Keep a consistent sleep schedule
Go to bed and wake up at the same time every day—including weekends. It trains your internal clock.

😴 Create a relaxing bedtime routine
Wind down with calm activities: reading, stretching, or listening to soft music. Avoid screens 30–60 minutes before bed.

😴 Optimize your sleep environment
Keep your room cool, dark, and quiet. Use blackout curtains, reduce noise, and choose a comfortable mattress and pillow.

😴 Limit caffeine and heavy meals in the evening
Caffeine can stay in your system for hours, and large meals close to bedtime can cause discomfort.

😴 Be mindful of naps
Short naps (20–30 minutes) are fine, but long or late-afternoon naps can interfere with nighttime sleep.

😴 Get regular daytime sunlight and exercise
Sunlight helps regulate your circadian rhythm, and exercise reduces stress and boosts sleep quality. Just avoid intense workouts right before bed.

😴 Manage stress and clear your mind
Journaling, meditation, or a brief to-do list can prevent overthinking when you lie down.
