⁉️ Controversy incoming ⁉️
The dreaded "rounding your back while lifting argument".
I would argue that NO movement is inherently dangerous due to a principle called S.A.I.D (specific adaptations to imposed demands), meaning that ANY tissue that is subjected to stress will adapt to tolerate that stress better.
It should be noted that torsion, static, dynamic, flexion with compression, high impact and explosive forces are likely detrimental for discs, this involves almost every sport or activity we do!
Our discs rely on diffusion and compression to stimulate repair and their cell matrix, so walking or appropriate spinal loading actually encourages this.
As with any movement, spinal bending should be progressively loaded, meaning to start with low weight and gradually increase the stimuli as you can tolerate (you wouldn't bench more than you could and not expect an injury after).
