Sarah’s Bespoke Mindfulness for Kids I’m offering a fun bespoke well-being package for children that is personalised, safe, easy and fun. On line help, should you need me.

This package allows children to express themselves through their own interests whilst learning relaxation techniques which will benefit them Long term. What’s included in your bespoke well-being package:
Personalised Folder
A Pack every 6 weeks (term time) and the 6 weeks Aug summer holiday of themed easy and fun activities tailored to your child’s interests/hobbies
Short relaxation techniques that your child can do on their own related to the theme. Benefits:
Your child will feel valued and supported. Your child will be doing activities that interest them. Your child will feel a sense of a achievement using their own creativity. Your child will gain a life skill of relaxation techniques and other skills which will benefit them long term.

£30 for each well-being pack. Includes materials, easy child friendly instructions, postage, packaging and online support.

Step 7, week 6. Final Step to complete your snowman

What you’ll need:

Snowman
Skewer
Brown or black felt/paper
Matching felt/paper as hat/scarf
Hat and scarf
White card for platform.
Glue stick
Glue gun
Battery candle
Scissors

Instructions:

1. For the platform, place the snowman on white card and draw around him leaving a 2/3 inch width margin all around. use scissors to cut out.
2. Glue the snowman onto the white platform using a glue gun, put to one side.
3. For his eyes and nose use the brown/black felt/paper to cut out small squares. For the mouth, cut out a smiley shape using the same material.
4 for buttons, use the colour felt/paper you used to make his scarf and cut out any shape you want. We did 2 squares.
5. Glue eyes, nose, mouth and buttons onto your snowman with the glue stick
6. Glue on the hat and scarf using glue stick.
7. Pierce snowman using skewer to deflate the balloons. use skewer to put more holes in random places in snowman.
8. Using scissors, make small snips around the platform as picture.
8. Cut in a small flap at the back of the snowman take out the deflated balloon and to insert the battery candle

Your glow in the dark snowman is finished for Christmas!!! Enjoy ⛄️

Step 6, week 5; Decorating your top hat and making the scarf

What you’ll need:

Coloured Paper
Coloured felt or materiel/ribbon
Glue stick
Scissors
Your artists imagination

Instructions:

1. Choose a colour for the decor and scarf. We went for matching colours as we thought it would look fab for our finished snowman. I chose Red.
2. Using scissors, cut small shapes out of the paper.
3. Using the glue stick, stick on the small shapes onto your hat.
4. Using the scissors cut a strip out of the material for the scarf shape, then slightly cut into both ends as shown in the pic.
5 your hat and scarf is now ready!

Next week and final week is finishing off… Gluing the platform onto our snowman. Popping the balloons from our paper mache snowman, dressing him, putting holes in and inserting our battery candle. Can’t wait!!!!! ⛄️

Step 5, week 4 ; The Top Hat!

What you’ll need:

Black card. A4
Glue
Small bowl
Scissors
White pencil

Instructions:

1. On the black card draw and cut out 3 pieces. 1 rectangular piece approx 18cm x 6cm. 2 square pieces approx 7cmx7cm. (My 2nd piece is slightly smaller)
2. On the rectangular piece, draw a white pencil line down each side as per picture - approx 1cm both sides.
3. glue one side of the rectangular piece and curl it round to make a cylinder shape.
4. draw round the cylinder shape on the 2 square pieces, on one piece, make sure you draw the circle bigger as this will be the base for the hat. The smaller circle will be the top. Cut the circles out.
5. With the scissors cut around the cylinder up to the white line on both sides
6. Fold the bits down as per picture and glue one side first, hold down the large circle, making sure it’s in the centre.
7. As above but hold down the smaller circle.

🙌 You have made your top hat! Next week, the fun bit of decorating it and making the scarf 🧣

⛄️ Glow in the dark snowman instructions
Step 4, week 3

What you’ll need:

Paper mache covered balloons
White toilet roll (gives a nice snow look/texture)
Small sponge
Water/Glue mix
Baking tray or similar for glue/water mix

Instructions:

1. Fill tray/similar with the glue/water mix
2. Cover the paper mache balloons with 3 layers of white toilet roll tissue using the sponge and glue mix.
We dipped our sponge in the tray to cover small areas of our paper mache balloons with the water/glue mix then put folded tissue on. Using the sponge, we gently dabbed the tissue to mould it in place.

Let it dry.

Next week, we are making the snowman’s hat and platform!!

This step I did at home as it’s quite tricky and needs an adult!

What you’ll need:

White or clear packing tape
Your 2 balloons.

Instructions:

Tape together the two balloons. Ensure the knotted part of the balloon is at the top and bottom like the photos.

Step 1, Week 1

What you need; 2 balloons, one smaller then the other. One is the snowman’s body, the other one is the snowman’s head

White scrap paper (no painting involved)
Bowl of water (for 1st layer)
Paint brush

1. Cover the balloons with paper, white side up, using the water. Use the paintbrush to gently put the wet paper on.
2. Hang balloons to dry.
