Our amazing resident Harry, who is 98 years young, had a one to one session today with physiotherapist Reef, working hard on climbing stairs! 💪
But this is no ordinary stair practice — Harry is preparing for a CHARITY WING WALK and needs to be able to climb the stairs leading up to the aircraft wing! 🤩🙌
We honestly cannot put into words how inspiring Harry is. At 98 years old he is proof that age is just a number and that anything is possible! We are so proud of him and cannot wait to cheer him on! ❤️

What a fun afternoon at Eastham Care Home! 🧱 Our residents and staff went head-to-head in an exciting game of Jenga today — steady hands were required!

This week, residents enjoyed choir practice.
The highlight? A rousing rendition of the classic favourite Daisy Daisy that had everyone singing along! 🌼 There's nothing quite like the power of music to bring joy and togetherness.

🏆🌟 WE DID IT! We are absolutely thrilled and so proud to announce that Eastham Care Home has been awarded the Care Home UK Top 20 Care Home Award for the East of England region! 🎉

Being recognised as one of the Top 20 Care Homes in East of England, means the world to us and is a true testament to the incredible hard work, dedication and passion of our amazing team who go above and beyond every single day for the residents. 💛

The Runwood Rambling Group were out and about today enjoying a lovely stroll through the Eastham grounds, taking in the beautiful daffodils in bloom! There's nothing like a bit of fresh air and nature to lift the spirits! 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️💛

It was so lovely to have our wonderful Sam back at Eastham today! Sam, one of our brilliant Lifestyle Leads, has been off poorly for a little while but we are so pleased to say she is on the mend and back where she belongs!
The residents and the whole team were absolutely thrilled to see her — and it didn't take long for Sam to get back to her usual crazy self! 😄 She even found time to rescue an injured bird spotted in our grounds, because that's just the kind of person she is! 🐦💚
Welcome back Sam, you were missed! 🎉

What a treat we had today! 🐾 Our wonderful cook Charlotte brought in her French Bulldog Stan to spend some time with our residents. There were plenty of cuddles to go around and Stan was an absolute hit! 🐶❤️ Thank you Charlotte — you certainly made some very happy faces today!

Today at lunchtime, we said a bittersweet goodbye to our wonderful resident Say, who will be leaving us tomorrow to be closer to her family. 💛 You have been such a special part of our Eastham Care Home family and you will be truly missed by staff and residents alike. We wish you all the happiness in the world in your next chapter — take care of yourself, Say! ❤️
