Some mid-week motivation and SUSTAINABILITY is the name of the game!!

If you're not enjoying your workouts or you're over-fatiguing yourself every time you head to the gym, it is NOT SUSTAINABLE. You begin to resent the behaviour and can inadvertently create an entirely new barrier between yourself and fitness.

Don't go in with the idea that you HAVE to give it EVERYTHING EVERY DAY, the body isn't built to tolerate that kind of stress, and neither is the mind.

Find what you enjoy and get the most you can out of it when you have the opportunity, but prioritise your rest and comfort equally to avoid 🔥burning out🔥 and "falling off the wagon".

A little more than last time is plenty, now let's get it 💪😎

Some ✨upper back✨ development progress while really trying to work on dieting for that V-Taper 😍 that I'm sure is in no small part thanks to all the pull ups I've been doing for these calisthenics! Really proud of myself if I'm honest.. by far the most sustainable dieting phase I've ever tried, it's slow but it's steady and actually enjoying my food is a huuuuge plus.

Nearly didn't upload this simply due to the love handles being on show, but then I remembered this is actually what a real body looks like and if I can preach to my clients to love themselves I should take my own advice too. no filters or editing here, just body positivity 💪

Remember never to prioritize a job or activity over your mental or physical health; Society likes to let you forget you're human sometimes, with human feelings and human needs. You are not the terminator or some otherworldly superhero, you NEED rest.

First day back in the gym post-Covid and this barbell has got me feeling some type of way 🙈😅 Need to feel that fire inside burning bright again!! 🔥🔥🔥

If you ever struggle to drag yourself through the non-negotiables, the responsibilities that aren't optional, the steps you know you NEED to take to better yourself... Just ask yourself my favourite question-

"How bad do you want it?"

If you don't want it that much, that's ✨fine✨! Chill, put your feet up and relax, the gym will still be there tomorrow and so will you 💪 Life is too short to beat yourself up and feel guilty over taking a day off 🤷 Sometimes we need to recharge!!

BUT- if you want it 🔥BAD🔥, if you want it more than you want the downtime, you better MOVE and you better WORK! WHATEVER IT TAKES is a very powerful mantra, so use it when you really need it! Internalise it and feel that positive energy flow through you- You can do ANYTHING in this life, as long as you are prepared to do WHATEVER. IT. TAKES.

Keep moving, stay active and go after what you really want! You can fail at things you DON'T want to do...So why not try going after what you DO want 💪😎 THAT is Mind Over Metal!!

Stay safe all- We're on the mend from our stint of covid, and will be back in the gym by the end of the week with any luck! 💪 Stay tuned for more training clips, progress photos and advice that is nonsense-free and easy to digest 😎 keep moving, keep active, and keep your chin up- You are worthy, ALWAYS!
