We have been publishing figures recently on appointments that have not been attended or cancelled at the last minute and today out of the 3 clinics based at Christow have had 9 appointments totalling 2.5 hours lost.

Please make sure that if you have an appointment, make a note of when it is and let us know in good time if you are not going to be able to make it.

If you have raised blood sugar known as pre-diabetes, or a history of Gestational Diabetes the NHS Diabetes Prevention can support you to make small lifestyle changes to help you prevent the onset of Type 2 Diabetes.
A new NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme groups starts at Cheriton Bishop Village Hall on Wednesday 1st October.

Under the Pharmacy First service, trained pharmacists can provide consultations, treatments and where necessary prescription medication for a range of conditions, including:
- impetigo (aged 1 year and over)
- infected insect bites (aged 1 year and over)
- earache (aged 1 to 17 years)
- sore throat (aged 5 years and over)
- sinusitis (aged 12 years and over)
- urinary tract infections (UTIs) (women aged 16 to 64 years)
- shingles (aged 18 years and over)

Self-refer for your first midwife appointment!
Newly pregnant women across England can now choose to self-refer online to get their important first midwife appointments quicker.
The self-referral is done by completing an online form on https://www.nhs.uk/, which allows you to go directly to your local maternity services without seeing a GP first.
