Our dance is a fantastic Zone 3 cardio workout in a well air conditioned dance studio with sprung floors.

But also our dance is a moving monument to those who fought to not let their spirit to be broken.

We dance through history to exactly the rhythms that once in history were prohibited and considered “ghetto”.

Dance is channel for resistance

Joy is resistance.

8 stretches I do regularly, for years now

To not be rusty, to have better mobility and have bigger range of motion

Focus mostly on lower body, because I love leg days and dance quite a lot

Each song has a story. Women come to our classes to live their stories, sing their anthems, manifest their dreams, shout out their protest or shyly give voice to something they are hiding from themselves.

Dance is transformational experience because of these stories that you LIVE.

Dance is a very LIVING energy.

Dance is an escape, medicine, exercise, meditation, community space, spiritual retreat and a party at 9.30 am on Saturday.

Lifting weights will increase muscle mass=make you live longer, look younger, burn more calories (the more muscle you have the more calories are required to maintain). It’s non negotiable and for everyone.
