Mr Polyzois implanting his first Medacta reverse total shoulder replacement yesterday very successfully, shortly after his training at the lab in Geneva. Very smooth procedure and patient very comfortable with no pain straight afterwards. Mr Polyzois particularly liked the design of the stem which had an excellent press fit fixation.

Knee surgeons focus on repairing a patient’s injury, an
ACL reconstruction in the case of this study. It sheds new light on how changes in the brain following an acl tear can have a detrimental impact on the body’s ability to heal and even increase the likelihood of re-injury. Early treatment to a meniscal tear can mean less damage to your joint. These tears are often caused by a twist – typically for skiers, netballers or footballers or from repeated squatting – and lead to pain, swelling and a locking sensation. During surgery the torn unstable piece of cartilage (meniscus) may be removed, leaving a stable rim. After repair, you may need to wear a brace post-operatively.
