🎉 Congratulations to Barry, who won Westgate Healthcare’s Winter Big Wish 🎉

Barry at Burford House Care Home has been granted his Big Wish. He is heading back to his roots with a special train journey that celebrates his early career as an engineer with British Rail.

The experience takes place on 4th January 2026 and includes a relaxed lunch out after the journey. We hope this memorable day brings back many happy memories and plenty of smiles.

🐾🎄 Today, the residents at Kingfisher were delighted to welcome the wonderful Kathy and Freddie the toy poodle from Therapy Dogs. Freddie brought lots of smiles, cuddles, and festive cheer, and one of our residents even made him a very special Christmas present! It was a truly lovely visit enjoyed by everyone. Thank you for such a joyful morning💛

🧸✨ Yesterday, our residents at Kingfisher enjoyed a lovely mini raffle with some adorable teddy bear prizes, kindly donated by one of our residents’ families. Everyone had great fun getting stuck in and sharing plenty of smiles. Even those who didn’t win a prize received a lovely card, kindly donated by the wonderful Rebecca, making sure everyone felt included. A big thank you to everyone for their generosity and kindness! 💛

Yesterday at Kingfisher Nursing Home, our residents had a lovely visit from Rosedale Church, who came in to sing beautiful Christmas carols 🎶🎄
The music filled the home with festive cheer and brought so much joy to everyone — it was truly a wonderful afternoon.
A big thank you to Rosedale Church for taking the time to visit and help make the season extra special for our residents ❤️

🎅 Festive Fun at Its Best. Meet Our Christmas Video Winner 🎄

This Christmas, our homes came together to celebrate creativity, teamwork, and festive spirit. We challenged teams across Westgate Healthcare to create a one to two minute video inspired by the classic song The Twelve Days of Christmas. Residents, families, and visitors all joined in, which made every entry a joy to watch.

They very kindly took the time to visit our residents and hand out beautiful Christmas hampers, bringing smiles, warmth, and lots of festive cheer to everyone.
