We had a wonderful time celebrating Chinese New Year here at Kingfisher Nursing Home 🧧🎊
Our residents enjoyed an authentic feast of sweet and sour chicken, egg fried rice and spring rolls – a delicious way to mark the occasion! πŸ₯’🍚
The celebrations continued into the afternoon with a fun crafting session, where we enjoyed making beautiful Chinese lanterns. A fantastic day full of culture, creativity and togetherness ❀️

On Friday, our residents enjoyed a lovely and informative visit from Cheshunt Fire Station. The team took time to talk through the importance of fire safety within our home, sharing helpful advice and answering questions along the way.
It was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to learn more about staying safe, and our residents really enjoyed meeting the firefighters. A big thank you to Cheshunt Fire Station for taking the time to visit us – we truly appreciate it! πŸš’β€οΈ

The session was relaxing and full of conversation, creativity, and colour, supporting wellbeing and fine motor skills while brightening up our home.

Everyone enjoyed painting Scottish flags, followed by a lovely lunch prepared by our amazing chef Gary.
