💙 Happy International Men’s Day from Kingfisher Nursing Home! 💙
Today we celebrated the amazing men in our community — our residents, staff, and loved ones who fill our home with strength, humour, and wisdom. 👴👨‍⚕️✨
We had a wonderful day baking cupcakes together 🧁👨‍🍳 and finishing with a special presentation of certificates for all the gentlemen in our home to honour their contributions, stories, and the positivity they bring every day. 🎖️💛
The smiles, laughter, and shared moments made it a celebration to remember. Thank you to all the incredible men who make Kingfisher Nursing Home such a warm and joyful place to be. 🌟🏡

Today our wonderful residents spent the afternoon stitching, stuffing, and creating their very own stuffed animals! From colorful fabric choices to the final fluffy touches, everyone poured so much love and creativity into their new cuddly companions.
We love seeing our residents enjoy hands-on activities that spark joy and bring everyone together. 💛

Guess who spent the day being an official happiness ambassador? 🐶💛
Freddie the toy poodle! 🎉✨
To celebrate World Kindness Day and Children in Need, Freddie trotted into Kingfisher Nursing Home wearing his smartest little bow (because kindness is a formal occasion, obviously 😌🎀).
He made his rounds like a true professional—tail wagging at top speed, offering cuddles, posing for fusses, and distributing joy as if it were his superpower. The residents absolutely lit up when he arrived, and Freddie soaked up every second of the attention. 🥰🐾
There were smiles, giggles, and plenty of “Oh, isn’t he adorable!”😄
A huge thank you to Kathy at Therapy Dogs for helping make this wonderful visit happen. 💛🐾

🌹 Honouring Remembrance Day Across Our Homes 🌹

Here is what some of our homes got up to this Remembrance Day. Residents, families, and team members came together to pay tribute to the brave men and women who sacrificed so much for our freedom.

From handmade poppies and D-Dolly's visits, to quiet moments of reflection and remembrance services, it was a truly moving day for everyone involved.

Remembrance Day is a special time across the UK. A moment to pause, reflect, and give thanks to those who fought for the lives we are fortunate to live today. Their courage, strength, and dedication will never be forgotten.

Today, we came together to honour and remember the brave men and women who served and sacrificed for our freedom. ❤️
Our residents and staff enjoyed a wonderful afternoon filled with music, stories, and reflection. 🌺 A special thank you to our talented chef Gary, who baked the most beautiful and delicious Remembrance Day cupcakes — they were a big hit with everyone! 🧁👏
We’re so proud to celebrate the courage and resilience of our heroes, both past and present. Thank you to everyone who joined us in making this day truly special.

What an amazing and scary Halloween we’ve had at Kingfisher Nursing home this week! We all enjoyed our Halloween with treats and fantastic music. There were lots of singing and dancing thanks to Mel, who came to entertain our residents.
