Incredible news for Benny and his family ❤️
Let’s hope it leads to more good news…
On 2nd December we shared Benny’s story publicly for the first time and asked people to help us raise £393,000 to access treatment abroad. It was such a huge and daunting task.
Today, just ten weeks later, we reached the target and what a whirlwind it has been.
Throughout all of it we’ve been absolutely in awe of the true strength of community spirit. We feel like we’ve been wrapped up in love, kindness and support and it has truly carried us through the toughest days.
The outpouring of love and support that Benny and our family received has meant the world to us, we are so deeply grateful.
When we started this journey, our goal was to raise the funds needed for Benny to access CAR T-cell therapy in Rome. We are incredibly thankful to have reached that milestone, and to have the funding in place. Benny has a follow up scan in a few weeks and we are hopeful that following this we may be able to make some progress towards accessing treatment.
We are so grateful to everyone who has helped give Benny the very best chance of this happening and to those who continue to stand beside us and fight for him. Please know that any additional funds raised will continue to go directly towards supporting Benny, helping to keep treatment options open and supporting us as a family as we navigate whatever comes next.
