It might be time to reassess your training routine to ensure you’re allowing time for rest and recovery. Listen to your body’s signals and prioritise both physical and mental well-being.

It’s okay to take breaks and listen to your body’s needs. You may benefit from a deload week in which you reduce your over all work out volume for 1-2 weeks.

Also, make sure you’re getting sufficient sleep and maintaining a balanced diet to support your energy levels. Don’t hesitate to seek guidance from a fitness professional or healthcare provider if you feel like this for an extended period of time. Taking care of your overall health is crucial for sustainable fitness progress.

1. Consistent Sleep Schedule: Go to bed and wake up at the same time every day, even on weekends. This helps regulate your body’s internal clock.

2. Create a Relaxing Bedtime Routine: Develop calming pre-sleep rituals, such as reading a book, taking a warm bath, or practicing relaxation exercises.

3. Optimise Your Sleep Environment: Ensure your bedroom is cool, dark, and quiet. Invest in a comfortable mattress and pillows that support a good night’s sleep.

4. Limit Exposure to Screens: Reduce screen time before bedtime, as the blue light emitted can interfere with melatonin production, affecting sleep.

5. Watch Your Diet: Avoid heavy meals, caffeine, and alcohol close to bedtime. Opt for a light snack if you’re hungry before sleep.

6. Regular Exercise: Engage in regular physical activity, but try to finish exercising a few hours before bedtime. Exercise promotes better sleep, but too close to bedtime may have the opposite effect.

7. Manage Stress: Practice stress-reduction techniques such as deep breathing, meditation, or yoga to calm your mind before bedtime.

8. Limit Naps: If you need to nap, keep it short (20-30 minutes) and avoid napping late in the day.

9. Evaluate Your Mattress and Pillows: Ensure your mattress and pillows provide proper support. Replace them if they’re worn out.

10. Address Sleep Disorders: If you consistently struggle with sleep, consider consulting a healthcare professional to rule out any sleep disorders.

Remember, creating a conducive sleep environment and adopting healthy sleep habits can significantly improve the quality of your sleep over time.

Are your friend going out hiking or even just walks around town and your having to stay at home because you panic and think you cannot keep up with them.

What if I told you with just a few changes to your week you could go out with your friends and not worry about keeping up.

I’ve help many people build up their fitness not to be gym bunnies hitting the gym every day, but so that they are fit enough to go out and enjoy their lives keeping up with their friends, family and doing what they want with out that little voice in there saying mmmmm you cannot do that.

If this sounds familiar to you pop me a message to see how I can help

Why is it one i go to the gym and feel amazing and another time my warm up feel exhausting?

Many factors can contribute to differences in your workout experiences, including sleep quality, stress levels, nutrition, and hydration. Additionally, your body might need more recovery time after intense workouts, effecting how you feel during some Training sessions. In short don’t worry this is probably just a one off don’t let it get you down, do what you can do during that day.

3 reasons Why I constantly go on about measuring your progress in multiple ways Photos, scales, measurements, how your clothes fit.

1. You see yourself every day in the mirror which makes it harder to realise the little changes add up. Having photo’s, measurements, scales notes to look back on gives you a better record.

2. It can be disheartening when the scales don’t drop but that doesn’t mean anything, body weight can vary day to day depending on what your have eaten, hormones, exercise, alcohol, personal menstrual cycle.

3. Using all these can help as you look back to where you where when you first started. To realise how far you have come.

Keep it in the kitchen, Egg whites carton- Two Chicks Liquid Egg White seem to be the one I’ve found most.

Egg whites are an excellent source of protein and can be used to reduce cals in recipes.

Is the one which is most easily acquired from Asda, Sainsbury’s, tescos etc.

As we start to enter that beautiful time of year when bugs and cold are prolific your bound to catch something.

What the best thing for you to do?

Simply stay rested, hydrated and eat nutrient dense food until your feeling more yourself.

Training wise if you can go for short walk stay active great but if not resting is fine. And as to getting back to the gym (depending on how bad you were) you may need to come back doing shorter session. Doing half an hour with a couple of sets, light weight just get your body moving you will feel weak to begin with but before you know it you will be back to normal.

I’m all for trying to save time during food prep, by buying these veg choppers and the first 2 tend to made more of a mess than anything. But the latest one I’ve bought the full star veg chopper actually saves time, doesn’t make a mess and is quite therapeutic to use 😂.

I deal with many people Who are worried that they are not able to do what they used and are worried it’s only going to get worse. This could be travelling, sports, keeping up with your friends, family, kids, grand kids.

But they think exercise isn’t for them I completely get it exercise doesn’t always feel the most enjoyable or important thing to do when you have a million and one things to do in your life.

But what if those couple of hours of training could allow you to keep up with everything you enjoyed.
Now doesn’t that make those couple of hours you would spend training worth it.

I’ve had clients who been in this position and have now achieve way more than they though they would be able too. And can carry on doing everything they enjoy.

If your think this sounds like you, message me now and let’s get you going.
