The woman who made me... the legend that has shown me that a woman's strength and softness can exist in equal parts.

It's getting harder to see you not recognise me, it's getting harder to watch this cruel disease take you away.
It's getting harder to live this far away from you.

But the love still remains.... and it always will.

A reminder that nature can help lift even the heaviest of hearts.

It can also.....

⭐️ Soothe those aches and pains of holding it all together.

⭐️ Loosen the grip when an anxious thought takes hold.

⭐️ Slow down a racing heart and a busy mind.

⭐️ Deepen a slow breath and encourage a longer breath out.

⭐️ Let us drop our shoulders, relax our jaw and feel the light breeze through our fingers and our hair.

⭐️ Let us release.

⭐️ Nature is Therapy for the Soul. ⭐️

Let's start training our brain not to set the alarm when it doesn't need to 🧠

I get it... our initial reaction is to fight with our anxiety.... wrestling with anxious thoughts... predicting outcomes to gain a sense of control.... which only brings these thoughts in louder and bigger.

Anxiety is NOT your enemy.

Working with anxiety.... telling it how to respond, training your brain like you might a little puppy.

THIS is the stuff that will see you break those anxiety loops.

How you act...

You have to choose a different response. Repeatedly to rewire and fire new neural pathways. You have to keep working at it.

Change is scary, it's uncomfortable, it's without a doubt why so many people choose a familar hell instead of an unfamiliar heaven.

But it's also the catalyst for everything. Without change we remain stuck.

Sometimes we can spend all our love and energy on other people and leave ourselves depleted. 🫶

We might tell them how wonderful they are, how much they mean to us and how they bring light into our lives... this is all absolutely great... but if we're doing this and ignoring our self talk, we won't be boosting all that feel good oxytocin.

Our brains are always listening to all those negative, critical ways we use to talk about ourselves. 🧠 This can stir up how we feel, low mood, low confidence, stress and anxious thoughts.

Introducing a bit of self love and self acceptance mean that we start to speak to ourselves a little kinder and we start to feel a whole lot better.

One small positive thing....
